Also shoutouts to ArcSys for having games so well done that they enabled fans to figure out how to essentially port things not just from DBFZ to Guilty Gear, but from fucking Guilty Gear to Smash. Potemkin having the 1 to 1 look, animation frames, and moveset from Strive is nothing short of black magic.

Beautiful mods coming out soon. The mods for Knuckles, Magolor, Bandana Dee, and Phoenix Wright all look similar to the Rivals of Aether workshop counterparts, which is a good thing! I have always wanted to see those mods come to 3D via Smash Modding!

Really loving the mods on display here. The Shadow one looks almost official with how well it's constructed, and the Land inspired Wario and Bandana Dee were just delightful to see. I'm definitely excited to see more of the Rayman and Chai mods (since Rayman is my #1 most wanted Smash newcomer). Also I'm surprised it took us this long to see Phoenix Wright modded in Smash

I'm not even going to lie, I really thought Black Knight was coming as a character when we started getting the heroes versus villains motif in the trailers leading up to release. He makes so much sense as an easy to integrate FE villain where you don't have to worry about all the crazy abilities or transformations, since he's literally just a dude with a sword and what a badass character

Except his only real voicelines are from the Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn animated cutscenes, and the Gacha-based Fire Emblem spinoff, Fire Emblem Heroes. Also, I hope to see a Black Knight costume without the helmet, showing he's Zelgius.

Leah Crosscode is such a deep cut and I love her. I could so easily envision Aethersnipe as her final smash just finding the right angle and dealing stupid damage bouncing it off the screen. She's the kind of character who if nintendo made her would have a down b to swap between heat, cold, wave and shock for different properties on her moves too, like changing what kind of projectile her neutral special is. She's just got so much to work with honestly, it's kinda unfair.

As the creator of the Lea mod in Rivals of Aether I gave her an SP meter which can be used to expend on super moves which have to be charged up to different versions and also gave her an element switch mechanic that works like Monado Arts. I don't know if this Smash iteration is going to use any mechanics like that but I had Ether Snipe as the most powerful super on Wave element and it requires it to bounce off walls to actually be powered up, but then in Cold element you can make your own ice walls that Ether Snipe can bounce off. That part might be too strong for Smash though.

all the mods i'm think going to get are knuckles, shadow, warioland wario, shadow mewtwo, black knight, x, zero, silver, waluigi, blaziken, kamek, smash party, chaos, freddy, sans, magalor and bandana dee. my personal favourite was either knuckles, chaos or sans. these are all great mods, and i am looking forward to downloading these!

The mod was themed around the special music video for the song 'Perfect SEKAI', featuring her welding a Sword. I remembered the Sword being alot longer, kinda like Sephiroth's Masamune, which is why I ended up choosing him over someone like Lucina. and between you and me, sephiroth is one of the more badass swordies, which fits dia well

Sonic and Kirby characters were really cool. Phoenix Wright had a funny final smash😂 collecting evidence and presenting to the court. Objection! The Black Knight is a broken spirit and possibly a broken character moveset. There were so many costumes and characters that I might or might not recognize like the memelord Senator Armstrong. Sans from Undertale was epic, he's such an awesome guy!🎉 Just an overwhelming amount of new stuff presented here! Wario and Waluigi are back with different moves too! Great job to all the developers for the presentation! Nintendo is awesome!

I'm more impressed than the trailers than anything. Some of them are obviously a little rough compared to what Nintendo puts out, but the sheer effort put into them is insane. I could see myself getting excited at a lot of these if they were official.

really cool direct !!! loved the lot, but one critique i defo gotta give though is that some characters that are "initially" revealed are already present in earlier scenes, which makes the reveal itself a little funny like you see sans around 21:50 but then sans is "revealed" at 49:05 , and blaziken makes an appearance around 37:15 before being revealed around 44:20 i feel like it'd probably be better to have their reveal trailers first, and then the other trailers that feature them show up later, yknow? that might be hard to organize properly though and the trailers are fun, so it's not too big an issue
