Want a super-tasty chunk of review that has been written now that the online's been judged? Here you go: "Online is a bit of a minefield for games like Smash that demand precision timing and the lowest latency possible, but thanks to what we can only assume is some sort of cosmic magic, Ultimate plays really well online. You’ll occasionally run into a game with someone whose connection with yours just doesn’t amount to a hill of beans, and latency does become noticeable, but a strong majority of the time it’s so responsive (potentially thanks to the system’s preference for nearby players) that for the average player it’s feels practically as responsive as playing a local game with a wireless controller." From what I could see, it looks like Luigi just _started a dash,_ stopped before it became a full run, then due to his low traction slid across the stage a bit and _briefly_ started walking... before being hit by that missile. Considering a music CD is 20 bucks, a CD hold up to 15 songs. This game has over 850 songs. 850 / 15 * 20 = *More than 1100 dollars with of music alone* And all that for only 60 dollars, considering it also comes with a game, it's basically a steal!

I've never regarded tiers. I think it's silly that people can make up some list of best characters. I play whoever I enjoy playing. I would kick ass with Jigglypuff in Smash 4, and I didn't even realize until recently that the Jiggs was a bottom tier character in that game. If you know how to use a fighter, then I don't believe these imagined tiers mean anything at all.

games online are very intense, if you loose most of your fights just because you want to use a specific character that isn't very good, the game becomes frustrating maybe it'll be different in smash because it's more of a brawler, but in actual fighting games you don't get very far using weak characters

@@vdfritzz I wasn't speaking hypothetically. I'm speaking from my experience playing online in Smash 4. I really don't see how tiers in Smash make a difference. And with the matchmaking seemingly better in Ultimate, these tiers should have even less of an impact than they did in Smash 4. But I guess we'll see when we get to play the game online.

I've got the million dollar idea for the next one *Super Smash Brothers Infinite* The developpers create a development kit for other developpers that gives them a template for creating characters and stages, from there other developpers that release their game on the Switch or next gen Nintendo console can submit their game's characters and stages to be approved. The submission must include everything, a moveset, a description of the stage and it's hazzards to really give a clear idea of what this third party (third party from the smashbros team's perspective in this case) wants to add to Smash. After the submission is approved, the developpers get the kit to work on it themselves. After that the new characters and stages that are made like this come for free with the Nintendo version of the game What's in it for the Super Smash Bros game? Everyone will end up with their own experience depending on what games they buy, making it more diverse, DLC does this to a degree too, since that's optional, but is still limited as everyone who bought smash can get them (also it opens the door just a little more for Goku to make it) What's in it for the other developpers? Super Smash Brothers is huge, so for lots of players getting a new character with your game counts as added value What's in it for Nintendo? A new argument for buying the game on the Nintendo system instead of the competitor's system, getting a smash character What's in it for Waluigi fans? A different Waluigi included with every multiplayer Mario game, with a moveset that's 100% based on the game you got him with, despite of the unique moveset all the Waluigi's will get his classic look, so they look the same and become the ultimate troll character online as you never know what Waluigi you are fighting against until the fight begins Perhaps I should learn Japanese to pitch this to Sakurai

This Game lokks so polished even with that huge amount of content. Its unbelievable, the game runs at full hd/60 fps on that tiny console (just weak online connection could loose some frames)
