To avoid having metal sitting on the casting tables, you might want to use nugget casts leading into a compacting drawer (filtering the various metals), that way you can turn the nuggets into blocks automatically

@@polartt the nuggets pour instantly. And prevent the bottle neck, if iron gets poured into 5-6 tables and each only has a small bit in them then you lose those tables tell all the rest of the metals get processed. But nuggets can be fed into a compacting drawer bank and will auto convert to ingots and blocks. Making crafting easier and looks very nice!!

@@polartt it would need a completely different physical arrangement but you can also have the ingot casts themselves drain into the nugget casts. the draining moves faster than the casting does so even when liquid is moving "through" the cast it still does cast so it wouldn't increase the bottleneck but it still means that you don't get leftover nuggets at the end.

try this: use 2 barrels on the belt, each with brass funnels on both sides. on the first one, make the output size on the funnel 3 items, meaning that only 3 dust can come out at a time and enter the second barrel. the second barrel doesn’t need limits. this should make it so that the foundry should fill up immediately with stuff when it’s done melting, but only multiples of ingots will be left in the smeltery, resulting in much less half-filled tables. still the issue of the secondary metals, but should be better

2:05 The Matter condenser (assuming it hasn't changed in the years since I last played), is like a trash can, throw anything into it, and it's destroyed, and gives you 1 point, doesn't matter if it's cobble, or your most expensive crafted item. The storage component just dictates how many points you can store. Enough points and you can get the matter ball (a small amount of points) (or a singularity, normally, (a LARGE number of points) but I think the mod pack trailer showed a different way to get singularities?, so maybe not that in this mod pack). So simplest solution is a cobblestone machine shoving cobble into it as fast as possible. But bonus creativity points if you have all your automation overflows throw into it. 😁

If you want to get a ton of stress easily once you hit the invar age, you can use a furnace engine hooked up to a blast furnace, with the output of the blast furnace being crushed by a pulverizer, the fuel being supplied by a phytogenic insolater, and the power for the pulveriser and insolator being suppplied by your lava setup. I've found through testing that this works extremely well, and if you use a metal like silver, bronze, etc, you basically have infinite stress. Oh, and for the byproducts you can probably just void them or potentially sell them for silver.

Another solution to the issue of the half cast ingots is to have molten copper cans of the metal you want to cast in the seared ducts, they act as filters. Downside is that if you get allot of 1 ore and not any others you don't use that output. You could set this up for iron/other ores cast you get allot and cast those into blocks though

For anyone looking for a good set-up for large amounts of stress units via furnace engine that runs forever, I have thought of a setup using blast furnaces without redstone. Basically you create infinite slimeballs and kelp blocks to power the blast furnaces. You need 1 see pickle, a bonemeal farm 9 coral blocks(or more), and a bread dough farm and a kelp farm. The sea pickle when crushed or smelted turns into lime dye, combine for slimeballs. Using a deployer with bonemeal on a sea pickle centered in a 3x3 area you grow them on the surrounding coral blocks and using a drill destroy them. I find using a minecart contraption works best because it won't stop on the coral blocks and kill them and it picks up the sea pickles you use to create lime dye. You then get your 1 kelp block to smelt 4 slimeballs in 80 seconds per blast furnace so you can power allot of these at once. Using a kelp farm you either use bulk smoking to make kelp blocks or 9 regular furnace engines. Just feed the kelp blocks into the furnaces. Make sure you have a void drawer aswell for the kelp blocks. The slime crystals you can either void or put in a void drawer if you are using slime crystals to repair tools. You can get the sea pickle and kelp blocks from wandering traders. If you can't get them you can use the bonemeal for white dye and a cactus farm for green dye. The main benefit of this is that you won't run into any problems when unloading the chunks, so it will always run without any problems.

@Captain.Mystic
@Captain.Mystic Жыл бұрын
No matter how many tables you get youre always going to get blocked up by side products if you dont use a proper way to handle it(i know this well enough from factorio angels) Your best bet is to take a small production loss by producing nuggets and then compacting them to ingots and blocks. Otherwise you will just end up with 20 tables half-full of side products and screwed up by rng. You could also store the metals by fluids and then give each of them their own set of tables through piping, this way you have 20 tanks, the metals sort themselves out by simply preventing other metals from their own tank, and once those hit a certain level you can then either alloy them or pipe them out directly on demand. Fluids in factory mods are notoriously difficult to work with for a lot of reasons. In minecraft its dealing with the fact that 1 nugget wont mix with another nugget unless explicitly told to mix through a recipe. So jams are inevitable if the ratios arent clean.

honestly, the only real way to keep a tinker's ingot cast system from locking up, by partially pouring ingots is to just filter for each metal. you'll need a lot more stuff for a proper setup. what you could do, is have them cast into basins, and feed into compacting drawers, so you don't have to un-craft them into ingots.
@polarstriker3854
@polarstriker3854 2 жыл бұрын
My suggestion for the super smelter would be to have filtered ducts (I think it's the cobalt ones?) for each metal, so that there's always room for each metal being smelted. And then beyond that, you could have non-filtered bulk ducts for getting everything else out of the system.

There are filtered outputs for the smeltry, you don’t have to use smart pipes.
@Autoskip
@Autoskip 2 жыл бұрын
Soooo... you didn't need half the stuff in your alloying build - as others have pointed out, the smeltery does have filtered liquid output blocks, and if you have a second basin across and down by one from the mixing basin all the alloyed metal will automatically go into the secondary basin, removing the need for those filters, and you can just pump directly from the secondary basin into a casting table without going back into the smeltery - all the casting tables (and casting basins) are is blocks that take fluids and turn them into items - there's no need for that fluid to come from a smeltery or foundry. Also, there's two ludicrous possibilities that could save you from ever having to mine more ores - you could set up an infinite iron and gold farm using create, and grind them into dusts to put into your foundry, looping until you have enough of each metal, and/or you could make a bunch more tanks of the same scale of the lava tank - there's nothing saying that you can't have infinite tanks of molten metal...
