I've been curious for a while now, what program and modulation do you use on your samples to correct off-pitch background elements, and then do you assemble the final audio track in Vegas or After Effects alongside the video, or something else like FL Studio? I ask because I'm cautiously interested in breaking into YTPMV but even ignoring the element of fancy visuals, I got as far as figuring out how to set the timeline snap to a BPM and then I found that Vegas only lets you pitch-shift a sample up or down by about 1 or 2 octaves. Let alone filtering things to sound snappier.

There's many ways to go about the whole thing but personally I only use Vegas and its built-in FX for visuals and audio. You can break past the pitch limitations using the Pitch Shift effect. And as for samples, you have to be kind of picky and also learn to work with some EQ FX and such.
