Paul Bump: Animal life begins as an embryo, a single cell that can form all the different cells of an organism. In most animals these cells-called stem cells-are present only in early development. In this video you will learn how, in some species, stem cells are maintained in the adult animal and allow for impressive regenerative abilities.
