Good luck to the American surprised the amount mess about with 1 1200mm level. All ya need is 2. 600mm or 800mm level either side save time. Shorts no point long level

It's a competition for a bricklayers to lay the wall fastest, it does have stringent rules for plumb level and pointing finish. In my opinion anything that promotes the trade is good.I can tell you now that whoever wins the final won't be far short of 800 bricks in an hour, how about have a go yourself next year you need to lighten up it's just a bit of fun👍

Not much skill in building a straight wall. Competitions I entered in the 70’s was building decorative brickwork, following complicated plans. More examples of Britain going down the pan.
