Magnificent upload. The original roads have long been lost to the world, the timber bridges are gone, over 50 years since that circuit operated, wonderful preservation of history in that film.

Hi Paul, Glad to hear you like our channel, we thought it important to preserve this part of motor racing history in fear that it may be forgotten forever, they were indeed great times for the sport. Many thanks for your kind words, we hope to bring some more soon. cheers, ICMR

Driving this track in the sim racinggame " Assetto Corsa" gave me a good impression what the track is like. Long straits but also tricky corners. Knowing what its like to drive this track and watching safty around this street circuit. what to think about the spectators! It means the legend drivers had to be 100% concetrated .A small mistake could be vatal . Thanks for sharing this historical film.

If racing had continued there, it would have been an ideal place for an enduro race like the Bathurst 1000.

Vintage racing at it's best, Tasmania style. What's not to like. Just one question: Where was Jim Clark?

Probably herding sheep while cussing Chapman for not letting him compete.

Were these guys completely nuts. No 6 in the tourist trophy was Bib Stillwell who was president of Lear Jet in the late 80's His name was Bermer Stillwell. The blue cars with white stripes were the 1st steps toward advertising promoting Neptune petrol (a shell company). I can't believe how dangerous this place was.tried to follow it once but did not have good map.

Ferrari312pb The whole field would be disqualified today When cars hit that's was it no hearings, but I know there were a few skirmishes in the pits . I saw one once with a guy in a Mustang not saying which one being dragged out of his car.
