As a kid Mikey was my favorite because he was the fun one and nunchucks were cool. As an adult I realized I’m more of a Donatello fan though. He’s techy/geeky and I really love when he comes in that brownish, greenish skin tone the way he was in the original toys and in these ultimates.

I've always thought Donatello and Michaelangelo we're the most visually interesting looking of the four turtles. Great looking figure.

I love the different skintones introduced on the original Playmates figures. I wish the new Turtles game had those colours too!

I got stoked too once I got all the turtles. Now I gotta open & display them all. I’m behind. My collection room is looking like a warehouse. Too much goodness too soon. The party wagon is on order too 🤦🏻

I love the old weapons racks they come with. Primarily for nostalgia, but now as an adult, I cut those weapons out, clean up the weapons and rack, and paint them, bingo bango, 2 sets of weapons. Plus I make dioramas, so those extra weapons look great in their rooms/dojo etc.

OK I am blown away that the weapons rack was meant to be kept on the vintage line! I just threw those away as a kid.

In the original show, Micky was my favorite. But as I've gotten older Donnie started becoming my favorite.

I don't have mine in hand yet (c'mon Super 7!) but I'm going to go ahead and say it...Donnie's alt/modern head is my favorite headsculpt in the line so far. Bebop and Raph would be right behind him. Raph is my favorite turtle, but the vintage Donatello was always my favorite toy of the turtles specifically because of the brownish green and purple; it just works.

Donnie _always_ gets the coolest headsculpts. Like look at the first NECA cartoon and movie heads. Who's got the best heads, Donnie, that's who.

Donnie is def my fave of the four, so I was pretty happy with this purchase, esp that alt head (looks like the one of the hardcover cover art to the IDW Turtles series). Though, one thing I don't know if you've touched on with the previous turtles was how wobbly and loose the head sits on the ball joint from the neck. It sits so gently on it that if I barely try to lift him by the head it will come right off. Not the worst thing, but it def can be an issue if I want to pose his head in a specific direction and gravity decides to help out. Great review nonetheless and loving everything you do for the community.

Donnie is not my favorite Turtle but I really like how hw looks. The color of his skin is definitely different from the other 3 & the purple accessories really help him stick out 👍👍👍

8:13 Leo looks so out of place with that silver on the belt. Maybe I missed Brian Flynn explaining why that's a thing. I'd really like to know why. Suppose it's another case of being at the mercy/lack of communication with the factory. Fortunately it wouldn't be hard to _paint it black,_ or even add the silver to the others.

@@khamla616 The good thing is fixing anything with black paint is super easy. You just need some gloss and matte black acrylic paints. So with something like this, it'd be a mix of the two. And after you're done, you'd never know it was a thing - little to no painting talent needed. I'll probably end up doing that whenever I get to opening them all.

They were replicating the playmates version, but I definitely agree they should've thrown in like one "normal" length bo staff. I mean we got three pairs of Raph's sai's...

I just got my Donnie in today.. and I only have Michelangelo (Raphael and Leonardo haven’t been shipped yet from BBTS).. but there’s a height difference between Mikey and Donnie.. Donnie being a bit taller. Anyone else’s like that?

I’m keeping the vintage inspired heads on mine. There’s some missteps with the uniformity between them with the paint on their belts. The nails on Mike. Raphs sai. Etc but I still like them. Glad to have the 4 together
