This could have been a cool figure. The sculpt and articulation look fantastic. Those colors?? Who decided on the color of that jacket? Fire them. What terrible decision. Ruins the figure.

Even now, every site that has him to buy shows the render which has a much darker jacket. Really disappointing this made it past their QCs.

I bought Leatherhead largely for his accessories and I thought about doing so here for his tommy gun, but that's a really expensive gun. But man, that thing is awesome. I think his beak is too bright too, it blends into the feathers (at least under your bright lights)

I was never a big fan but thought he was kinda cool looking. But he was like one of those figures everyone had lol I was surprised that he only appeared on the turtles tv in the og toon. But I do love the alternate head and tommy gun. And the bandolier with egg grenades I always thought was great

For $55 these figures just look so cheap. I'm going to stop preordering because all of these figures end up being a lot cheaper on the aftermarket.

Honesty cause s7 never looks at paint samples or anything even fynn kind hinted around during fwoosh cast when talking bout tygra colors and etc.and if you always notice when new line comes out and they show it in boxes never out the box.. subpar7 is just company that cuts way to many corners

From the tmnt Wikipedia Ace Duck is 4'6" and the turtles were around 5'. So he should be shorter then the turtles.

That tail is on the original figure on it's wings. If you look, it's sculpted to the bottom of the wings. It seems S7 upgraded it by actually attaching it to his butt. So if you copy the toy, if he is posed with wings on use the tail, and wings off no tail. This figure is great I just wish the brown was darker.

I am not interested in getting him, because the increasing price I choose to get only the ones I really like. I get the feeling that he's actually a baby duck, since that's only when the ducks are this bright yellow colour of feathers( I know, it's TMNT so it's not realistic) . Just thinking about why he's so small. Also the fact that they had to factor in all the extra plastic of the wings, had he been bigger the wings also were going to be bigger, so maybe it was a budget- related choice. I do understand your gripes though especially with the articulation which I find its problematic on quite a few of super 7 figures it's like they don't care much if the figure barely moves at all it's frustrating that sometimes only the arms are functional it's like in really old '80s figures, not worthy of the "ultimates!" monicker... Like I understand the turtles themselves not having some sort of abdominal articulation because of their shell, but the rest of the characters would have greatly benefit from it. The other gripes I have is the odd mixture of mate and shiny plastic, like this ace duck seems to have in his arms and jacket. Also the very thin pin-like pegs on the figures hands makes me sweat bullets every time I change them. I know S7 is all about the aesthetic but what is the point having so many additional hands if we don't liberally change them up to pose them around? I do commend them for having the guts on doing the whole old 40s jet pilot, cigar smoking, Tommy gun shooter schtick. It is the real selling point for jazz up such a bland character Lastly it think it was a very honest review , I loled at the "he seems he had *something* ..." 😄

I had Ace Duck as a kid and he was one of my favorites in the line, along with Casey, Slash, Usagi, and the turtles themselves. So I am very disappointed in the color on the jacket and hat, and how small this Super7 is. I also think the beak is too pale. So, now with Slash’s skin color, which is too dark, that’s two major errors on central figures in this otherwise excellent line. I also think Raphael is too pale green and brick red, but that’s for a different post.

Ace is a small animal so Super7 probably thought that he should be a smaller Mutant kinda like like how Bebop and Rocksteady are larger animals so Super7 made them larger Mutants 🤷‍♂️

Almost canceled my pre-order when I saw how off the colors were from the promo pix. The alternate cigar head, tommy gun, and egg grenades gave it just enough gnarly personality for me to give in and purchase him anyway. But Super7 did under-deliver this time.

Those wings, heads, hat, and bandolier are really, really great accessories. Love the expression on the cigar & leather helmed head. Perfect level of expression.
