Finally caved into watching this movie after always dodging it because of the title. And boy did the title have me fooled, I was definitely not expecting a movie titled "Fight Club" to be so thought provoking and ground breaking. This movie will definitely leave you thinking and reflecting on your life and the world of today. I now understand why this has been dubbed as one of the best movies ever made. This movie is a must see !

CoreyStudios2000 when did they bring up gays?
@CoreyStudios20009 жыл бұрын
You remember the character Robert Paulson former bodybuilder, wrestler and creator of a chest expansion program. Due to his excessive use of steroids, he got testicular cancer. As a result of the cancer he had his testicles removed, due to a hormone imbalance he later developed gynecomastia - which The Narrator refers to as "bitch tits". He is a representation of what Project Mayhem stands up against, the same kind of fear that homophobic people have towards gays.
@heartless22199 жыл бұрын
so they dont actually say that.
@transfemme57499 жыл бұрын
CoreyStudios2000 That's not true since fight club is seen as anti feminist/anti feminization and questioning Masculinity + homoerotic friendship between the narrator and Tyler. I don't think Fight club is homophobic - a bunch of men fighting one another, enjoying violence and supporting competition with each other.

One of the best movies i've seen in my entire life. The title of it will have you thinking that it's one of those movies that's based on martial arts, boxing, wrestling or things of that nature. But once you dive deep into the movie, you'll start to realize that it goes way beyond that. This Fight Club, organized through the sinister thoughts of a person's imaginary entity, is more of a cult that has managed to brainwash it's followers into thinking that they're free to do anything, all because they can't make sense of the world revolved around them.

Little Spoiler warning! In fist place, It's about "self-discovery" (don't know if this is right word in english - i am a german) and freeing themselves of everythin that shouldn't affect mans life, like material stuff ("i really need that new iphone or i am gonna die so badly!") and money ("i have to be rich, live in my own house and need a super looking wife, 2,5 kids and a dog or i am a nothing!") i would say. First, that ikea boy lived for all the material things and he got sick. In the movie he's freeing himself from that thought and becomes aware of what makes him happy and who he really is - he gets sane. Tell your dad this entertaining movie is about a huge psychotherapy for a man, who is doing it on his own. My opinion :)

I will give the movie a solid 9.8/10 and I will give the trailer a solid 9.0/10 ... This movie is a cult classic that was really underrated in 1999 when it came out and was really only nominated for 1 Oscar which I am still to this day pissed about -.- it was so much better then the matrix and any other movie that came that year , it was better then the insider as well , so Yh ... Literally one of my favourite movies of all time !

I think it between the thing or Fight club ? The thing probably arguably the best monster horror movie ever made! and it probably my favorite sci fi horror film along side with Predator , but I probably will say that Fight club was the best cult movie !

Neil Tomlinson FC did bombed at the box-office and got mixed reviews but it became an instant cult classic and it's the next Rocky Horror Picture Show when you think about it and became a midnight favorite just like that movie as some cosplay as Tyler at midnight shows you know just like Rocky Horror fans do.

Definitely the best philosophical film ever made. And its about beating the crap out of people! AWESOME!!!
@chrisbooth824210 жыл бұрын
the people that say things like that about fight club is the reason why people write it off and don't bother to watch it because the think its just about beating the shit out of eachother
@VoiceNerd10 жыл бұрын
Well they need to see it before they judge it. You can't properly judge a movie until you have seen it.
@TheGeektrick7 жыл бұрын
Voice Nerd do you know any other philosophical movies that you would recommend me watching?
@VoiceNerd7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, actually. There is one film not a lot of people have seen that I would definitely recommend they check out. It is a Alfred Hitchcock film called "Rope."

Im here because ive just finished watching Mr Robot, and i was reminiscing over it listening to "Where is my mind", and i was scrolling through the comments of the song video and people were saying how Mr Robot is just like Fight Club. I came here, and funnily enough, that exact song was playing in the background of the trailer. I need to watch this movie now :)

Very much a life-changing movie for me. When Tyler turns to face the camera & gives his little speech & the film starts to fall apart...that scene is insane. A masterpiece.

Tyler Jameson i didn't like the movie after reading book first. The beauty of the story to me is in chuck palahniuk's words and brilliant writing style. Some people say the movie is bettet but I don't know how tbh.

One of those movies for a generation, I haven't seen it in years. I'm 32 now, going nowhere fast, got two kids that adore me and a wife that hates me. Unless I have an accident I'll be alive in 5 years but have no idea in hell where I'll be. I think I'm going to watch this again.
