There are so many interesting modern British painters to discover. I'm amazed at how Irvin maintained such a consistent outlook and approach all through his years of painting. I also sense a very similar vibe between his work and the American Sam Francis. Francis spent much of his career in Paris. I wonder if they ever met. Thank you for putting this survey together.
