i guess sudo and root he again did swapping root is indeed super user sudo command is used in non root users to perform system level call and applications

This interview doesn't look legitimate, I havn't seen people using vmstat, did any tutorial taught you vmstat? I'm sure, NO!. The way you explained DNS, traceroute, etc. doesn't look come from a self learned guy with 9 months of java developer background.
