Pat and Woolie each bought a house just recently. The crying about breakup meme is just crying, as they are each doing well. Pat's also to be a father. Be happy for them moving on.

I love hearing Pat talk about how the resolution is so amazing while the visual quality from this is somehow hillariously terrible. I'm guessing because it's gone through multiple compressions

1:28:41 I will never understand the obsession some people have with claiming that "Alone, no items, under-leved, beat my face into a brick wall for 2 hours until I have memorized every single grain of grit and mortar" is somehow the only "real" way to play, and that anyone who doesn't copy them is lesser or playing wrong. Pat just calls summoning NPCs in the "optional area built for specifically multi-player that allows people who didn't buy the DLC to be summoned there for co-op" "cheap", but its basically the same.

I think my weirdest issue with this LP is Pat complaining about the items from DS1 being brought back but he loves DS3, which I think DS3 does the callbacks more often. Some better, some not compared to DS2 but there more frequent and blatant than in 2. Though my favorites list for Souls is in release order, starting at 1 to 3. And 3 aint bad, just… it urks me.
@217adaptiveperspective4 ай бұрын
Considering you literally go back to Anor Londo and there's actual DS1 NPCs in 3 I'd say the references are far more...I don't know what the word is
@hyperflareman124 ай бұрын
@@217adaptiveperspective Ham fisted? And I do agree with Pat in the DS3 playthrough that it should be “sprinkled well” but I think DS3 over does it. Like, the Aldritch fight is fine cuz it makes sense cuz we never did kill Gywndolin. But some are waaay to blatant, mostly the pictures in Irithyl and Silver Knights still protecting Anor Londo. I still enjoy somethings in DS3, and Anor Londo being there goes with the whole lands converging and the like. But… idk. Some feel okay but others don’t
@217adaptiveperspective4 ай бұрын
@@hyperflareman12 It's feels pretty out of nowhere too if you played all the games in order Going from 2 where they barely reference 1, to 3 where they're constantly referencing 1 and using terminology from it Then you're talking to the Onion Knight again but his name is slightly different and he talks the same and gets into trouble the same Then you're in not-Izalith with dead demons everywhere and Black Knights Now you're fighting Soul of Cinder with his Dark Souls 1 backflips and Gwyn phase + music It gets to be too much when you notice how hard it's going Oh yeah, Andre is immediately right there too, and there's that random Dark Wraith in Lothric Castle towards the start. They might as well have just called it Dark Souls 2 (but good, and for real)
@bajscast3 ай бұрын
It annoys me because a lot of his complaints are also just made up. Like the big tower in Iron Keep - that's concept art for Brume Tower. Even though it looks *nothing* like Lost izalith he says "I think this is a place called lost izalith and it sucks that it refuses to stand on its own!" when it's not that at all lmao I agree that the references in 3 are way too much. I like it when they show something aged and ruined - Firelink shrine from 1 being the boss arena for the demon princes is cool, Anor Londo just straight up being there alongside multiple gods is just stupid, considering it's been literal eons and it just is stapled to the top of Irithyll, an area with much cooler and original lore

Pat being a poop to Woolie when he failed to use the smelter wedge is such a asshole move since he talked Woolie out of using it on the tutorial one.

Pat is really at his most obnoxious in this playthrough. He didn't even congratulate Woolie on beating Fume Knight (one of the hardest bosses in the series) and just complained about how long it took.
