Nice...been using the pegs to move me over. Got something new to try this weekend.

I've been having terrible knee fatigue. I live near blue ridge parkway and the dragon (U.S.)all tight twisties. I know I sit to close to tank which forces me to compress my knee and lifts me out of seat for the transition in a s turn. So if I understand this right you sit farther back (the fist amount) to give you clearance and use your knee against the tank for sliding movement to remain always in contact with seat? So that should pretty clear up my knee fatigue? since I'm pretty much doing a mini wall squat every transition? Anyone have any input? I'm a seasoned rider I ride 4-5hrs in twisties a week. Thanks

@XH1927 so you're saying hold more with the inner legs?
@XH192713 жыл бұрын
@plukcc Don't hold onto the tank with your knees. I had problems with this, I was always wondering what magic bastard CRs at track days were using to pass me with late braking maneuvers everywhere when I was floating the rear wheel already and then riding right with them for corner speeds. Problem 1 was I was stiff arming the bars, transferring more of my weight to the front than was necessary, hence lowering the amount of braking power I had before lifting the rear... (cont.)

@plukcc So I loosened up my arms and held onto the tank, which helped, but when I tried to brake REALLY hard I found myself not setting up until I was already steering; so I watched some video of FIM SS and AMA SBK and MotoGP and such, and I realized, just... take it on the balls. Set up, brake hard, if you hump the tank, hump it, deal with it, push your butt back once the G-forces start to come off as I ease off into trail braking mode, and suddenly those CRs were having to work a lot harder!

if you live in the States. go on ebay. you may not like Buell, but there are some very cheap deals right now on 1125R's. i've recently seen bikes with bids as low as $600.00. but that bike also needs work. it looked like it was dropped badly. And no its not my bike. i got my own 1125. just giving you a heads up.

@zorro1rr When braking I'm saying don't hold at all. Just live with the fact you're going to slide forward on the seat. There's only two ways to hold yourself in place: with the bars, in which case you are going to float the rear wheel sooner, or with your thighs on the tank, in which case you're going to be late setting your body position. So I feel it's best to not fight it at all. This is just my opinion though.

XH1927 They say to get in position before braking.
@XH19272 жыл бұрын
@@seventysevencats Which you can easily do, but when you're actually braking, what then? You have to choose one of three options: fight the Gs with the bars, fight them with your thighs on the tank, or just let what will be will be and reposition later.
