Most of these wonderful moments were stolen from me by my Chinese mother in law. Why did they have to stay with us for the first 12 months of my daughter's life? And before anyone says it's traditional, it's not when you are in Australia! All I can see that it did, was to interfere with me having a solid relationship with my own child. I'm not a violent person but sometimes I wish I had been more forceful.
