What a gem to watch! Thank you for uploading this treasure box. Beautiful and powerful racecars of a long gone era. I wondered when this documentary was produced and aired. My first guess was 1983. At that time John Watson wore this Ebel-Livery on his helmet. But at 38 min. the narrator mentions the abandonned Monaco GP in 1984. So it must be around this time or even later. And yes, the closing credits state it: MCMLXXXIV.

Thank you! And yes, there are still some enthusiasts left. Personally I think that some of these racecars like the W154 (racecar and Rekordwagen) and the W165 or the Auto Union Typ C Rekordwagen are the most beautiful and esthetically pleasing machines ever built. Real works of art - and quite ingenious, too.
