Supercharged Y62 Nissan Patrol dyno tune

This week we get a Y62 supercharged patrol in that had some issues with drive-ability.
So we wiped the tune and put a stock file in and started again.
End result is more power and torque, less fuel and able to put car in drive and drive it without kicking down and surging

Sorry for the stupid question but does this need the 4wd disengage switch to run on the rear rollers only?

That’s ok mate This one has a switch but you can just pull a fuse

Why is the car on a rear wheel dyno for the 4wd, what would it be if tested at all four wheels

Car has a 2wd switch so can put in 2wd easily Don’t need to put it on a 4wd dyno to tune. Owner could go to a 4wd dyno or 4wd hub dyno if they wanted to know exact HP at all 4 wheels but what’s the point? As long as it has an increase after the tune and we can log it, that’s all that matters

But if u leave the car stock and don’t supercharge it and just tune it with exhaust and filter it should make 20kw with out the blower ?

Yeah we can tune without blower and still get good results. Also better fuel economy 👌🏻

Lots of variables What mods, how heavy, driver, towing etc But have had feedback of 2-3L per hundred Some don’t pay attention and just enjoy the extra power and torque
