I would say that Christian music was good from the 1980s to 2010. Today's Christian music is bland and boring by comparison. Whatever happened to Superchick?
@spark300c Жыл бұрын
you right about that. the problem is the all record labels got bought out. Their audience have stunk. they end play safe because record sells can not make enough money. So they only play what I call soccer mom rock which only for soccer moms who listen to the radio.
@bobprice9541 Жыл бұрын
@spark300c that makes sense, but they need to reach out to us men. That is something Christian music radio seems to be unable to do.

They aren't making fun of BarlowGirl. They're praising their stand against dating. They've been friends for over 10 years and when Superchick wrote this song they wrote it as a gift for the Barlow girls, asking if they could use it on their album. @SkaMasta09713 жыл бұрын
@cookincoffee It could mean two things: that they are moral like their mom in saving sex for marriage. The other is more general as in boys wanting to marry a woman that's like their mother. A boy's first female relationship is with his mother, and all the rest of a man's relationships in his life follow suit. This is basic Freudian psychology. Just like girls can have "daddy issues", boys can have mommy issues if they had a bad relationship with their mother.

I miss when there were feminists who had this same kind of message. The early 2000s were really a nice time for girls who wanted opportunity but didnt want to sell their soul(or sexuality) to obtain it. What a shame the message got so diluted and so pro sex a few years later. Now its hard to even meet Christians who are anti premarital sex.

My body doesn't belong to a guy and neither does my husband's belong to me. We don't decide who each other gets to sleep with. 🤷 I'm not going to decide someone isn't marriage material because they slept with someone before me. I think that's weird.
@magica1355 Жыл бұрын
@@treefrog1018 I mean, cool opinion, but that means you arent a Christian and I think thats weird, but its fine because its your life and you are given free will and can choose whether or not to go to hell.
