I put an aftermarket plug in that deactivates the DOD. That and removing the lower air dam up front and I may have lost 1 mpg. Worth it to me when you consider the damage the DOD does and the improved looks up front. I may buy this unit and sell my DOD delete.

I don't get why people spend hundreds of dollars on a tuner, and then load an eco or 87 tune. If you want to save money on gas, don't buy a $50k V8 pickup truck... LOL I mean, the difference between 87 and 93 is 30 cents per gallon... On a 23 gallon tank, that is $7 per tank. It's nothing. For what you pay for the tuner, the next 1,300 gallons of 87 fuel you buy, could have been 93 and the cost would be neutral. Go with the 93 performance tune, or leave it stock!

i want a big truck, because of this it drives like shit due to the tires and weight. the tuner really helps offset this. you have to get the power from somewhere. i have dynoed this truck and the numbers talk. thanks!!

@@midwestbuilds What numbers have you gotten? I am using the 93 octane performance tune, with a K&N filter and the Airaid MIT installed, plus I opened up the airbox inlet and it can pull a lot more air now from inside the fender, not the engine compartment...

I've got a 2013 chevy silverado 2500HD 6.6L LML Duramax. I bought the Superchips that suction cups to my windshield allowing you to monitor systems while driving down the road. I want to do a emissions tune, I'm replacing my exhaust for off road use. All factory exhaust from the down pipe V-clamp to the tail pipe will be removed, Deleting the DEF system and cat converter, all factory exhaust will become 4" Dia. With no muffler. Is there a emissions tune available?

Been seeing a LOT of good reviews for this tuner. I just lifted my 2017 Silverado 1500 to 7" with 20" wheels and 35's. It has the 5.3L and I have heard that if you don't disable the AFM that allows it to switch to V4 it is really bad for the lifters so I intend to disable that. Before the lift, I was getting around 19 mpg, but it has now gone down to 11 to 12. I expected as much after the lift, and she is kinda sluggish now as it will downshift on incline a lot more frequently than it did before the lift. I won't be pulling anything (for now) and I don't really put my foot in it so much, so I'm thinking about the 87 tune like you did. Thanks for the vid and I will keep you posted as to how it turns out after the tune.

@@marcusestrada6661 No ... It's all still the same for me. My mileage is actually a little worse now as I took a local job and don't have any "highway" miles now. I did put a S&B cold air intake on it, but haven't put dual exhausts on it yet. It has plenty of power with the tune, but I think the mileage won't get much better.

But, I have power on takeoff now and it doesn't hesitate. Would love to feel the difference having the 93 octane tune. Anyway, I'm getting between 13 and 14 (but my driving is all city)

Torwan Williams its not fully mounted yet, fits so snug you almost dont need to haha. Going to drill small bolt holes with rubber grommet in bottom to bolt to bed..keep it waterproof and locked down...im making a vid and will show the work in it, be up in a week or so! Stay tuned.

Yes, multiple people have shown that activating all 8 cylinders with help with MPG. The different tunes can really help as well but it always comes down to how a person drives. Regardless of what you do to save MPG, if u race around and stomp on the gas then it will do nothing for u

-MAFIOSO- dont quote me on this, but to my knowledge the factory limits how fast the truck can go, ive seen some ppl hit this during a dyno run. Increasing this should allow you to go faster, but in my case..u do not want to go that fast with a lift and big tires

ratherbeflying for example I do drag races on a drag strip, I usually drag my BMW’s but I got a single Cab 18 GMC Sierra I want to start modding it but do the simple stuff, intake, Superchip, exhaust etc. How can I remove the speed limiter with the superchip? Thanks for the response!

-MAFIOSO- oo gotcha...yea when you program a tune, you have the choice to select options such as speed limiter and tire size and shift points etc...and trust me there is a large list...not sure if you can disable speed limiter or if u can increase the number but regardless, you can control this function. Sorry other than that, i have not changed this feature yet and dont plan to. But it is nice to have the control to do so if i wanted!

awesome! i was around the same on MPG but now im getting around 15 on an average day being easy on throttle. if i mess around town and get on it it starts to show around 14 MPG. but still this is way better than what i was getting. i run the 87 tune and it gives a bit more power which really makes the truck drive like it did before my lift and tires. it drove like crap before the tune, felt like i was pulling a house around haha

i would say at minimum around 20 plus. i have been wanting to put this truck on stock wheels, re run the dyno and get actual wheel numbers with small tires. i think i would be over 300 easy. there are a couple vids from "american trucks chevy & GMC" that run the dyno with stock silverado's and intakes. they can give you some better numbers im sure

Not true. I only run 93 on mine and got the same crap gas mileage as 87. I got the 91 tune from the flashpaq and am up to 19.5 to 20 mpg

My 2014 5.3 runs best on 89 octane. I hooked a live scanner up and on 87 it was pulling timing due to pre ignition. Had zero pre ignition or timing being pulled on 89 and it runs smoother, better mpg. 91 octane was zero improvement over 89 so it wasn't worth it.

you can just plug and tune. the first time you plug in, it will lock on to your VIN and vehicle. it is highly recommended to update it and make sure you have the latest versions. its a quick process

Jynx Saturn double check but im 99% sure u can change the governed speed. This is sometimes needed on the dyno..superchips is great company and can make sure for ya
