The range is actually 2.0-10 (same as B1X) when using the newest firmware... Anyway, using camera at flash sync speed in conjunction with a ND-filter is still the preferred way. Maybe you can compare this method to HSS, and in which way one is able to get the best "overpowering-the-sun"-capabilities possible.

Thanks SO Much. Now I understand why my B1 could nog go under 8.0. I ma a dancephotographer and just started using strobes. Sometimes i need to use higher speeds . And bigger depht of field.

I plan to shoot horses with my studio strobes and I do not want motion blur when they are moving through the scene. Would I use high speed sync for this or would there be a case where freeze would meet my needs? How do I decide? Thank you for your videos.

that's how you would use it... but it depends onhow the sun is shining that day.. if you have just one light that can do that it makes it difficult versus more strobes to help even the light out and also the strobe power would not have to be all the way up

Will this not work with the Profoto Air Remote without TTL? If not, what could I get to use with my current setup? Thanks!

One question : wenn i desable in my remote control the B1 and i have HSS he still fires although in my remote control , the same one you have, it is enabled. What do I wrong ?
