And then some. You did it more than justice. You showed to this day that a song from the past can come along in the future in a completely different genre and still find relevance amongst EVERYONE that has seen it. I see/hear the question all the time, "has Em seen this"? Not to assume but through the research i have done, the closest i can find to Em actually hearing this version is, either he gave Kasey, or his people gave Kasey's people permission to release this version on Kasey's SPOTIFY account. Unsure if this is true or not but i could imagine if a song is going to be covered word for word, there would have to be copyright laws that would have to be adhered to or the infringement rights would start a messy legal battle. Fantastic effort to put this colab together.

Kasey & her touring family are Aussie national treasures. Her dad plays with her, her mum still sells her merch in the foyer…they are the nicest people. I’ve venue managed a couple of her gigs now & her mum is fantastic to chat with. Kasey is a queen at ripping your heart out in performance. I cry every single time I see this.

The beauty of this version is that Kasey has taken all the heart that Eminem put into it and shown his soul in a way that people hearing the original can overlook. To me it's remniscent of Tommy by The Who and if it has to be a rock opera version of a rap song. Then there's no one better to do it than Kasey as the meaning behind the words resonate for her.

Recently, three performances have absolutely blown me away, leaving me with goosebumps, tears, and a dropped jaw: Diana Ankudinova singing "Can't Help Falling in Love," Dimash performing "SOS," and Kasey Chambers covering "Lose Yourself." This musical journey is truly heart-wrenching and deeply moving.
