final chase sequence *spoilers* from the 1978 made for television movie "Superdome." An upcoming Super Bowl provides the framework for this suspenseful thriller set in New Orleans. The trouble begins when a murderous stalker begins threatening assorted lovers, gamblers, and con artists who typically surround the big game.

David Janssen was a very gifted, talented actor- one of my favorites. He died far too soon. I always enjoy watching him, and would love to see the rest of this one day.

Well it wasn't just drug and alcohol abuse that killed him. As he once said "I'm from Nebraska, if I'm not working I feel guilty." He was a hard worker who was always in high demand. And he always gave good performances in the films and TV shows he appeared in, and was very well liked by the people who worked with him. I've never heard anyone say anything bad about David Janssen. It's also quite possible he could have been saved when he had his heart attack, if his wife had responded quicker.

He did not renew the contract for "The Fugitive" because his first wife and his doctor told him, it was bad for his health, because he was overworked.

David Janssen was an excellent actor. He left us way too soon. I see here comments stating that drugs alcohol killed him. The facts are some what different. His autopsy showed no signs of drugs in his system. His liver showed no sign of cirrhosis. Cause of death was simple an acute myocardial infarction ie heart attack with no previous cardiac history or signs preceding the event. He did however smoke 3 packs of cigarettes a day and was allegedly under stress as his marraige was on the rock's. There was also the past family history his father died aged 55 from a myocardial infarction as well. I know he had a reputation for being a boozer. More importantly he held a reputation of being a genuinely nice hard working man well liked in his profession.

Thank you for posting this. I am sick of idiots claiming he died through alcohol and cigarettes and lost his looks. He was as good looking and incredibly handsome to the end.
