Great video Mr. Wolf. One thing on spot landing practice, (aim small, miss small) don't just aim for the field, pick a spot in the field and try to hit it.

Scares me that I am starting recognize the wheels and motor - how is your Fresh Breeze and FlyPod? Thanks for the video on ppGPS. I just downloaded and was wondering if you are using GPS or Baro for your Altimeter? And the same goes for Altimeter+. Waiting til next month for my lessons and not sure what equip I will be getting - I do want a Trike though.

Thanks for the information. When you're using PPGPS, how do you load a KML file? I see the "Import From File", option, but the file isn't listed as an option. Ideas??
Thanks for the info. I’ll have to check that app out.

Thanks for posting the video. Two questions: at around seven minutes and 28 seconds there is a solid red line behind you. What does that represent? Secondly is there a way to store multiple way points that you were not using on a given flight. For example you deleted all of your weight points for this demonstration, but can you keep some others and just select the ones you need for a particular flight? Thanks again?
@David_Wolfe3 жыл бұрын
I think the red line was showing the win direction. I stopped using PPGPS a while back and I use SkyFlyHy and have been for some time.

Bryan Knepper I detach them after launch. They are the A-Line assists. They have no purpose after launch and I move them so they are not on the video.

Your getting better on your spot landings at least you landed in the right field lol. My PPGPS altitude is way off I zero it out every time to. I get no answers from the co. Watch my last video it was rough and there is a couple of times I'm 30 ft off the ground and the alt says 700+.

@@David_Wolfe I use FlySkyHy just for ground speed and altitude. I think it can also be used for waypoints but has to have an additional purchase.

Do you have the settings for Altimeter data using the internal barometer or GPS? This could be the difference between the two apps. The data in the phone should be the same.

With PPGPS, how do I display only the waypoints I've selected for this flight? I don't want to see ALL my saved waypoints, only the ones I've selected for a particular flight. TIA for any help!
@MrHanowski3 жыл бұрын
Is there a way to "disable" waypoints without deleting them from the app? I'd like to keep local waypoints listed in the app and use them as needed without having to keep adding them. I also don't want to see the waypoints on the map that I'm currently not using.
@MrHanowski3 жыл бұрын
Wondering why my added waypoints don't save for use later after closing the PPGPS app? Must I enable KML, or ICG, or GPX files to allow this under FLIGHT SETTING? Also, what does the dark blue arrow mean? Thanks!
@MrHanowski3 жыл бұрын
It was because I didn't allow the app to access my phone files when I installed the app, and you can't do it after the fact. So I deleted the app, then reinstalled, this time allowing access to phone files. Now it saves waypoints.

Paramotor Crazy so I noticed a few things, 1) why “church” as a waypoint name and not “62’Jesus”? also 2) it looked like you “manually sequenced” or advanced to the soccer waypoint rather than flyin far enough to allow PPGPS to reach church and then automatically sequence. maybe you were just avoiding a dirrect overflight of the building? Maybe the waypoints weren’t in a route? 3) It seems all of these apps and hand helds are limited in that they provide continous “dirrect to” or homing guidance, as opposed to displaying a true route line. I noticed it right away, but until someone commented, I didn’t consider that using these devices to avoid airspace especially very near the edge, could easily result in inadvertant penetration. A combo of big cilynder size, prior and next waypoint locations in relation to the one nearest the airspace bondary and a strong crosswind could all contribute to a navigation assumption that could get a user in trouble. I bet Gorrila loves the term “inadvertant penetration”.
@David_Wolfe5 жыл бұрын
YankeeinSC1 lol, I am sure he does. No they do not take in to account air space but I know I was good in the entire area I was flying. I did manually advance but it would have advanced for me once I reached the way point. In this particular case I could see my destination, the church, so I choose to advance and also for educational purposes. My next waypoint, the soccer fields, was completely in an opposite direction. I guess my intent of the video was to show how the app can be used as opposed to how to use it in a point to point XC with waypoints along the way.
