Hope someday you and Sam will see the "Macys" parade in NYC! The Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center! The windows at Macy's and other stores! Braynt Park Chrstmas Festival! Union Square and Grand Central Chrstmas Festival! Truly magical like you have seen in the Movies! So magical in NYC!!

Actually the balloons are filled about 1/2 way or 3/4 way with gas. It’s to keep them lower. The real Macys parade they have weather alerts the day before dictating how much they can fill up. If no issues then they fill up maximum and that reaches like the 30th floor. If issues arise then it’s much lower like the year it rained as they kept the balloons close street level. The crew also run safety checks on the floats the day before. The marching bands walk the path the day before sans instruments to nail down last minute things. It’s really busy for three days around the parade path. Heck even the broadway shows do rehearsals at the stage with no makeup to nail down everything for the cameras.

I found one of those at a garage sale a few years back and Ive had in a curio cabinet with a couple other small instruments. I didn't realize it was an authentic whistle until this made me actually look at the markings on it! So cool!

Hey Jackie. I'm sorry I have been as consistent commenting but we've been watching the videos. Tell Sam I'll catch up on the Expedition videos soon. I've been dealing with health issues. I am going to have to have some of my stomach removed but we're coming to Florida in March regardless. I've changed these plans twice already so get ready for some company the first two weeks of March. We rented an airbnb (although they had to change it from airbnb in Orlando now) Thank you for your amazing content. If you ever feel down about what you're doing please consider us because sometimes us watching a Super Enthused video (and Sam) is the only thing that keeps us going. That’s the 1940s Santa not the 1920s Santa. There is a slight difference in the way they are drawn. It’s really the shading and the face. The modern Santa is so different from past Santa. Every decade’s Santa is drawn differently to keep up with contemporary style. The current version is CG but it takes reference to his chubby, laughing form that everyone loves. The 1920s Santa is a much thinner depiction with a beard. Coke cola was the first to really standardize the Santa look.
