I visited the island back in the 70s when i was just a kid and had read the Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn books in school. Was magical then, even in the Florida heat, and glad to know it is mostly still there. Thanks for sharing your day with us!

Great video that brought back so many memories. We decided to do Sawyer Island on our last day, having never done it before and had a blast. I also became addicted to the 'I Lava you floats' during our stay 😋. So good. Needless to say, this video hit all the buttons for me 😁👍

Totally! U know I show riding rides a lot too, but I love being able to show new things around the parks and the more hidden details that hardly anyone else shows! I did a one day solo trip in Oct 23 and I spent about 2 hours of it exploring all of Tom Sawyer's Island, riding the river boat - The barrel bridge wasn't even out in the water when I was there, so maybe it's close to coming back? It was such a wonderful way to spend a few hours.

So Tiana‘s is looking so nice. I love all the greenery. It’s so weird how some days the crowd can be so thick and then some days there’s not that many people at the parks. I guess you just never know. I have never been to Tom Sawyer’s Island, I need to go next time I’m there. I lived in Orlando, I would go just to people watch. I just don’t know if I could deal with the heat…. 😬😬😬 whenever I go, I always stay at the resort and I have to take transportation to the parks. If I live there, it would be a whole different story.

Tom Sawyer Island is so underrated! A few years ago we set out to do a few things we’d never done at Magic Kingdom, and we wound up spending almost two hours just running around playing tag in the caves like the children we are 😂 Sorry that you missed out on the barrel bridge, but the dole whip looked like a nice consolation prize haha love the stability on the new camera! 📸

The rivers of America are like 3 feet deep that’s it. Although people have drowned in less water. A few years ago some pranksters tried to swim the rivers at night in California and got lost because no lights at night, they drowned because they got stupid and exhausted themselves. The park staff found them in the morning floating there. The police concluded it was accidental. Although now Disney land has security patrols every night and keep people out of the park at night. Not extended parties or events of course but regular days.

Haha no worries, and it’s a fair question because everyone does it, but no you’re not supposed to. It makes them dependent on getting fed by humans, it draws too many birds and then there isn’t enough food for them all, and also the super sugary and salty theme park isn’t great for them. I know there are more reasons too, but we’re not supposed to feed them, no matter how much they quack 😂😂😂
