In this video I react to Superfruit for the FIRST TIME. In this video they sing their cover of "Feeling Myself" by Nicki Minaj. This video is so FUN and shows off Scott and Mitch's bubbly personalities! I really LOVED how they rap and harmonize their rapping. SO incredible! As I mentioned, this is the first time I have seen or heard this video and as always with Pentatonix/Superfruit I cannot wait for the next one. AMAZING!! This is definitely the fun (not so safe for work) side of Scott and Mitch. They grew up together, dated shortly and then became best friends and roommates. If you think PTX is a rabbit hole just wait…their vlogs, challenges, medleys and a lot of originals will get you hooked. I binge watched their channel at least three times during quarantine and have a playlist that I listen to all the time. You will love them!

Superfruit started as a mostly comedy based vlog, and music became a part of it along the way. The vlogs are hilarious and the songs are fire. They haven’t been active for a while though.

When Scott and Mitch started Superfruit they actually had the idea of doing it as an anonymous rap duo. If I'm remembering correctly Mitch chose the name, and he deliberately picked a gay slant with it. There are two different interviews where Scott talked about the origins of Superfruit and Mitch/Scott talked about the naming of it. Instead of rapping though it ended up being their fun, gay-friendly side which they filmed for years while living together as roommates. Once they got their own places and serious boyfriends the videos quickly slowed and eventually stopped.

Superfruit was a comedy channel. They recorded once a week for several years as they toured around The world with PTX. Empire Medley and the Anti Medley ( Rhianna). by Superfruit is fire, Honestly they are so talented and funny. Listen to Hip hop goes Broadway part one and two by Superfruit. Stay for the bloopers after 😂😂 Defying Gravity is Mitch being his most amazing- the. frozen medley with Kirsten involves drinking and fun. One of the best is Black and White with Scott, Mitch and Kirsten and Toddrick Hall. It’s great Superfruit became so popular they eventually wrote an original Superfruit album complete with videos for each song Called Future Friends. I love the entire album.

Superfruit started out as mostly a vlog channel during the time they lived together. And yes, it was a sideproject to show their personalities and connect with the fanbase (and not havng to be "family friendly" all the time like they do with PTX). They would do quizzes, challenges, have guests and tell stories from their life and occasionally they did a music video like this one. (other examples: Hip Hop Goes Broadway 1 + 2, Empire Medley, Evolution of Lady Gaga, Empire Medley, Defying Gravity, Frozen Medley, La La Land Medley, and their album medleys: Beyonce, Anti (Rihanna), 1989 (Swift)). Later on they started doing original music and released an album called Future Friends - there are music videos for every track on the channel. Standouts include: Imaginary Parties, Future Friends, Guy.EXE, Deny You, Hurry Up, Goodbye From Lonely.

You’ll enjoy any of their ‘evolution’ videos but they also released 2 albums and a single ‘The Promise’ which is the last thing they did. Try ‘Guy.Exe’ from the Future Friends album for a laugh or ‘Deny U’ or Goodbye From Lonely’ for something a bit more serious. But ‘The Promise’ is a must. Thank you for your reaction- Superfruit were so underrated.

Beyonce medley, Empire medley, HipHop goes Broadway 1 and 2, they did a Frozen skit with Kirstie, they did a Wicked skit, many other medleys, i.e. Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Miley Cirus, Rhiana, etc. Super Fruit is all about Mitchy and Scott having fun and just being who they are. But you still get the amazing singing and talent that comes with it. The names pretty easy...they're gay, it was a fun pick. But there's a ton of great Super Fruit content. Its not all suitable for younger folks if they're with you at home, and it's definitely not all suitable to watch or play at work.
