This is what happens when 3 best friends since childhood get together, have a few drinks and decide to tape a song together. 😂❤. The off tune singing is a competition they had from years ago to see who could do it longest. Mitch sang “ Your Power” from a rooftop during Covid that is beyond spectacular and beautiful. Definitely the first solo you should listen to from him.

They also did one with "Wicked" songs that is amazing I've watched this dozens of times and still crack up every time. I love their music, but I sincerely love them as human beings - they are people I would love to hang out with - "The Tin Can Challenge" is one video that always cracks me up - but any of them are worth watching. Obviously they were so much younger, and have grown up since filming them, but I am grateful that these videos still exist for our genuine delight.

I'm guessing Mitch didn't start "having a few" until after most of the video was shot, because he REALLY seems to be taking things a lot more seriously than his companions. He doesn't break at all in the first scene, and only breaks a time or two when he was getting confettied to emulate snowfall during the big Let It Go song. It's good to see in the bloopers that he apparently caught up with Scott and Kirstie in the end! And wouldn't Kirstie make a great Disney Princess singing voice?

I’m so glad you have found they can make you laugh as well as cry! Mitch did a fabulous cover a Billie Eilish song (the name escapes me, I’ll add it - Your Power), and his Messer project is a more personal expression for him. Try Machine from Messer. Superfruit’s Partner Yoga is a non-musical hoot, and any song from their original Future Friends album is excellent. Try Guy.Exe, Imaginary Parties and Vacation. Deny U and Goodbye from Lonely are more atmospheric. Keep ‘em coming, I enjoy your Pentatonix-related reactions very much. Peace …

During the SuperFruit era, Scott and Mitch were living together. And Kirstie is their oldest and still their best friend. So one evening they invited Kirstie over to their place for a relaxing evening, just three old friends unwinding together after a long day. For them, as it does for many people, this meant starting with a few drinks. Which turned into several drinks. Being who they are, it was a given that at some point there would be singing, and it's a bad idea to annoy the neighbors, so apparently Mitch and Scott had thought ahead and booked the studio and made sure there would be someone to record. Because you're right, this was recorded in a studio, with a very good mic, and someone was holding the camera. I believe the background music was a karaoke tape, but I could be wrong. Incidentally, all three of them have confirmed that they continued drinking cocktails between takes. Kirstie is 5'4" tall and Mitch is 5'11", which is why he had to bend over for Kirstie to throw her hair over his shoulders. That is NOT a good position for singing; it makes it hard to take deep breaths and properly support the diaphragm. Yet Mitch's solo in that position was perfect. 🤩 I love Mitch's use of a white towell to substitute for Elsa's glove. The blonde wig puts in an appearance in several SuperFruit videos; she was practically a character in her own right. Mitch's recovery from his fit of the giggles was remarkably fast. Note that either Kirstie or Mitch would do an excellent job voicing princesses for Disney (not that they'd have time to take it on).

Mitch released 'Halfway' today, under his Messer alter ego. It is amazing, he sounds so good and he wrote it himself and co-produced it too. No visualiser or video yet, but it is on Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music. He's released 3 others recently, Oblivion, Velvet and Agony which do have visualisers on KZbin. They are all fantastic, he's been releasing stuff as Messer for a little while but I think he's really hit his stride with these recent 4 releases.

Most of the Superfruit videos are funny, but only some have music. I definitely watch them when I need a laugh. For Mitch’s solo (Messer), I alway think “Machine” is a good place to start. Superfruit that are musical and funny Hip Hop goes Broadway 1 and 2, Defying Gravity, and Guy.exe (this is from their album).

It's hard to choose a Messer song, he put out three in a row recently that are all so good, and there is another coming out in a few days. Honestly just throw a dart at the wall, they are all really cool and so different from other things we hear from him. Also Ready2Die by Jimmy Edgar featuring Messer as the vocalist is a song I am obsessed with.

I miss Superfruit so much. I have watched every episode multiple times. If you are interested in watching any of their episodes that don't have singing but absolutely will make you laugh check out Ghost Hunting. Scott was having so much fun making Mitch uncomfortable.
