Pyre is my fave video game story of all time, i have never. EVER cared so much about a story and my companions as i have in pyre, and this song just nails home so many emotions so much sadness but also hope, and that everything is on the line.

@@sophiearcher6153 When I played Pyre, I kinda didn't care much about the rites as my team was going through them in the start, and all of them were ending as landslides. Due to this, when I started getting invested, I started actually caring so much about the rites. The stress and excitement I felt after nearly losing a single rite was so intense it cemented itself as such an amazing moment. I'm so happy that my first run of the game had literally no losses, cause it invested me so much harder into the story.

@@girlsamurai26 the only times i lost in my first play through was when i intended it, i had to get the fates go free i couldnt bring myself to stand in there way, same for oralech i wanted to win at the start but as the dialogue carried on i decided to let him have his freedom and win.

It was this song starting up that absolutely sold the Liberation rite. You're not playing some fancy scribe game anymore, you're fighting for a friend's freedom, witnessed by the sun and moon themselves. Don't mess it up.

The flute is what sells the Pyre songs in this album for me. It's like a perfect instrument for a fantasy setting, so touching and emotional when done right

The First Liberation Rite really hits diferent the first you play. Making my way to the Mountain was for me suprisibly quick, even thou I was taking my time with it but a small part of me went "Oh... maybe this will be short like Transistor?" Nope, imediatly get slapped with the "You can only anoint one person", got super invested and began planning in more detail as I prepared future teams while getting as many benefits as possible, cause good lord the future Triumverantes become ungodly strong near the End (and arguebly more dangerous then "Him").

I do have to say the added detail of when you score and plunge into the flame and it cuts to just the vocals will always give me chills... Also I love this version. Plus seeing everyone go home hits hard. My first was Ti'Zo and afterwards the wagon felt so empty... Edit: everything got harder... I knew who I was going to send home, at the end I fought hard for Mae. And I redid whoever I was fighting against to let Rukey back 2 times. It was incredible, the only thing that could make it better is everyone going back even though I know it's not possible.
