I don't know how many other people have noticed just how technical this boss fight is with its diegetic music. For instance, everyone pretty much knows that when one of the sirens is knocked out of commission or killed, their instrument is no longer being used in the music. However, if you just so happen to kill or muffle Scylla before the others, her main vocals no longer take center stage and her backup songstresses take over, making them more pronounced. I think this also happens when the backup sirens also have a chance to become the featured artist during the second phase. I might be wrong, but I recall picking up on Ashley Barrett's vocals in a few of my matches, whilst in other ones, it was pure Erin.

This entire boss fight is sheer perfection from top to bottom. The music, the way it cuts out just one part when you beat one of the members, the differing attacks from each of them that make you choose which one you want to take out first, while none of them are too overwhelming in their own right. Genuinely probably the best technical execution of a trio fight I’ve ever seen, with killer music, visuals, and immersion to boot. Supergiant never fails to exceed expectations.

A brilliant boss fight on so many levels. The music, the personality of Scylla, the combat itself, the "featured performer" in the 2nd phase, the way killing a performer takes their instrument out of the song, it's just all so perfect.

Darren Korb has gotta be the best VG Soundtrack composer in the market right now. The attention to details of this whole soundtrack (that isn't even complete yet) as well as the overall tonal shifts and ever changing time signatures propel him so far above the competition.
