I had all the feels for Alex. Saying farewell to her sister and then Ruby going back to Sam (and of course the absence of Maggie) pretty much left her all alone. But I was SO PROUD OF HER for putting the whiskey tumbler aside. They never really tackled the topic of Alex's drinking very much, but that little gesture spoke volumes to me. Go on, Alex!

I agree about liking this episode being "the calm before the storm". The big threat seems to have been dealt with, so we can do other stuff (Kara taking some time to visit her mother and her culture and sort out who and how she is, and Lena doing SCIENCE with Eve Tessmacher!) for a while but we know the other shoe is gonna drop (and boy did it ever!) Some people complained that the episode is "mostly filler" and say departing from the season arc was a mistake but I don't agree with those people at all.

The banner at Kara's going away party said "Goodbye, On Assignment". She is having an indefinite leave of absence from Catco. It is not public knowledge that Supergirl has left earth, only the DEO knows. It takes time for people to notice. Lena does not have both pieces of information, so she would not have to connect them.

I mostly appreciated your reaction as usual, but I can't agree with you on the guns. *I* wouldn't work at the DEO without guns for back-up. Winn's really smart, but his inventions never work at version 1.0. They always need tweaking. What sane person would volunteer as a guinea pig for a Winn-designed weapon under conditions like the scenario that just almost got Guardian killed?? Contrary to what Guardian says, there ARE situations where you need more than just a shield, and the DEO deals with that sort of situation all the time! And that last scene...this chick piloted a Martian spaceship without any training? Seriously?? That's some kind'a witch! And, wouldn't Winn have detected it coming back to Earth? Why hasn't the DEO been alerted yet? I can't wait for the answers to this and lots of questions about what'll happen with the whole cast - there are a ton of threads hanging out there now, waiting to be sewn up, and only two more eps. I can hardly stand the wait.

This episode was kinda “meh” for me. There were some cute moments, but not enough to make me like it. The last two episodes need to be full of action in order for me to change my opinion about the season. There were two key moments in this episode however, were monumental: First one was when Alex put down her drink and went to go look at adoption websites. We always saw Alex drinking to “heal” her sadness, but when she realized being a mom would make her so much happier than alcohol, she finally stopped. Second one: Sam and Ruby were watching “Singing in the Rain”, which is the same movie Alex and Kara watched together at one point.

I love Karamel! Kara and Lena would be AWFUL! I hate Lena but even if I didn’t I wouldn’t want her with Lena. Mon-el though, he’s great!! Alex is the one that’s gay so give her someone else. Now I don’t have an issue with gay at all, I support all people but Kara isn’t one they need to turn gay. She’s straight and her and Mon-el are too cute!! He can still come back, he got asked for season 4 but he couldn’t do it at the time but he does have an option to come back in the future. I’m sure he will 😊

Rachel the fans love him only because of Karamel. His character is useless and that's why he needs to go. Only girls who ship Karamel love him. Men don't like him at all. Ever since he came again on the show in episode 7,the season has been bad because of him. The storyline with him and Kara in every single episode is repitive and awful to watch. The mid season finale was amazing but since the mid season premier when he started to become more relevant to the show again,the season became terrible. Same goes for s2 which was awful all the way through. It's all Mon-el's fault. He's easily the worst arrowverse character

And no i dont like him just cuz of karamel because im not a "shipper", i was fine with him and imra when they were first introduced because i didnt know the truth about their marriage yet.
