John Cryer makes an insanely good Lex. He is devious, smart, & thinks ten steps ahead of his opposition. The way he masterfully manipulates Red Kara & everyone else around him is a sight to behold. Seeing Red Kara crying in utter anguish like that breaks my heart. Melissa Benoist is such an amazing actress. Loved this episode. Also loved your reaction.

Lena has shown herself to have blackout type blindspots when it comes to the people she cares for and/or loves over and over again. She thinks she sees them but she doesn't. Why should Kara/Supergirl be any different? Though I want to ship Red Kara and Lena, I think she's fascinated by and envious of the sibling relationship Lex and Lena share. They are the physical manifestation of what she's missing (without knowing it) by being apart from her Alex.

This episode was so AMAZING!!! It just keeps on getting better! It's like i have never been this sooo excited about Supergirl!Melissa and Jon are so AWESOME in this episode! I wonder how are they gonna play Red Daughter obviously she is brainwashed but still she was able to get some truth plus the boy is a wild card maybe he could bring the good side back to Russian Kara but not until we see an EPIC showdown of course! I love that this episode infers that all Kara's a strongly linked/bonded to Alex, and that all Kara's also are strongly connected/curious about Lena (I mean how could they not be, seriously?!). This episode was amazing and fantastic and I'm so glad that you got super excited over it all (trust me, I did to). I'm already so obsessed with this whole Red Kara story line and it's barely started. Can't wait for next week!!

OH! Another thing: I still think that Eve might not be pure evil. I did think she was pure evil when she sent the missile to kill the kid, but then Otis saved him. And the next episode is called, "All About Eve," and why would they need an episode about her if she was just Lex's flunky? If there was nothing more to her, then this episode should have been enough, right? So I think she and Otis worked out the plan to save the kid together, and maybe Eve defected over to Lena's side back in 4x14. Then Lena asked her to play triple agent with Lex so that they could find out what his endgame was. The letter she left on Lena's desk was an update of everything new that she'd learned of Lex's plan since they last talked.

When Lena and Kara first met, Lena had just invented an alien detector. Kara zapped it with heat vision and it gave a false reading on Kara .. Thus, Lena's first impression of Kara was "Human". It stuck.

The only thing he kept from her was his "means" of accomplishing the goal, but his more academic, or cerebral, activities she was privy to. He groomed her, then left all his knowledge and research in her hands instead of Lillian's. He believed he had her in play, and from prison could manipulate her to finally falling in line. She knew because he knew. And if not during his rise, then after his fall, as she had to wade through his things to reconstruct the company and salvage anything that was productive. She knows, but she puts everything in small boxes, compartmentalizing in order to carry on.
