Can we just talk about how James way laying *FACE UP* for back surgery. What is with these writers?! They can’t even make dire situations believe because they can’t grasp continuity. 😑🤦🏻‍♀️ “I have extensive medical training.” Oh we know, Lexie Grey, we know. 😏 Katie looked at pics of Cate Blanchett in suits, and decides to put Lena in a suit. As if I couldn’t love her anymore. I think Eve’s changing outfits (white, to grey plaid, to black) is foreshadowing her character.

That beginning scene with Lex was before Supergirl came on the scene and made herself known. When she becomes Supergirl in S1, Lex is already in prison. So, no that beginning scene was not from S1 because this is his actual introduction to the show.

Plus Lex/Superman rivalry is more personal, at least from Lex. It's not wether Superman is man or a woman, that's stupid, it's deep, personal hatred towards the person who (in his eyes) betrayed him, crushed his plans, defeated and captured him. Lex is really a psychopath and he just won't take any... humiliation from anyone. He'll either kill Superman, or die trying.

i watched some commentaries that the suit Lena wears (specifically the color) is like a homage to Joker's attire.. in line with nemesis with Superman and Batman.. a Luthor and the Laughing man

I enjoyed this episode I didn't see eves betrayal coming. Brainy and nia will get together. Hopefully kara saves lena. I think we are closer to Alex getting her memory back

best episode of Supergirl on the CW in my opinion. It was so good I am positive Jessica Queller and her producer pals were absent when it was written & the week it was filmed. Other people who actually care about the show & its characters were in charge. I was one of the people who thought Jon Cryer was wrong for Lex Luthor. I was mistaken. He was FANTASTIC. And the Lena-Lex scenes? Perfect! How Katie & Jon got that kind of fractured sibling bond so quickly...

Apparently this Lex turns the sun red is supposed to be before the series started before Kara saved the plane. I’m surprised with how good John Cryer was as Lex he had the sleazy cunning sociopathy marred with false genuine feelings down pat the way he sincerely complimented Lena as being the one with light in the family maybe there was truth is his words yet you still wouldn’t trust him with a goldfish of all things Lex is a master at manipulating people and how he plays the long game a man with a plan with a backup plan behind the back up plan.

The ratings had almost no change. In fact, there have been much higher rated episodes this season that didn't get the forewarning of being centric to a character a part of this fandom adores. In fact, being "Lena-centric" and having Lex in it, especially the Lex part, was expected to pull in much higher ratings than it did and fell short of expectations by a significant amount. Whatever pull you think Lena has is not reflected in the numbers. It was only .02 higher in viewers in comparison to the previous episode, and the episode even before that had more viewers and a higher demo.

You can keep moving the goalpost if you want, but what the Supercorp fandom thought would happen didn't happen, and that's because a lot of Supercorp shippers don't actually watch the show.

That only counts the live viewers on the first night. It does not even count the delayed views from the first three days. Not to mention people watching through the CW app or other methods than TV. There would be more reason to expect a bump for the second of the two parts from positive buzz. The CW only cares that people watch legally not live. It's worth more to have six nights of content that viewers can watch when they want, even if Sundays is a ratings write off. Reaching a younger target audience is the goal and they are less likely to tune in live.

@@petermatthews3729 As I said, you can keep moving the goalpost if it makes you feel better, but I also accounted for the adjusted ratings of people who didn't watch it that night but still recorded it. Those numbers aren't particularly difficult to track. There is always a margin for error, but not enough of one to make a difference one way or the other. Lena does not factor into the ratings at all. Supercorp and Lena fans need to accept this and stop acting like catering to them would give the show superior ratings.
