Not really. Not when you consider how bad most new comedies are due to censorship and cancel culture. Him creating other great works outside of comedy makes sense. You have to understand comedy to make a great comedic film. If your humor is like that of Mandy Kaling you can assume your other writing will be trash too.

@@jonathancunningham8739 yes but they havent targeted its always sunny now have they. They have taken down some episodes on certain streaming services though. Your same arguement could be said of south park, the simpsons, american dad, beavus and butthead, and family guy. They simply arent new enough for it to matter. All of those series had been running for a while and gained too much of a following. Cancel culture is very much by design. It cannot cancel what has already succeeded too far and most are still going. So it must cancel new products that want to thrive in a similar way. Im sure in some way they could ruin a spin off series about dennis and dee as kids by adding in some dumb woke bull. That way the dedicated fans will be upset over it and cancel the series. It happened with the Velma tv series. I dont know any scooby doo fan that likes that show. Same with ghostbusters, terminator, starwars, marvel, halo, etc. They create new content using existing products we love and insert the topics on purpose. They are effectively allowing us to cancel ourselves and ruin all we have come to love. Its a means of getting us to self destruct. Hence the by design part I mentioned earlier. People are starting to weed out these organized groups that push for them too. I dont care who it is thats pushing this stuff along but it needs to stop. We know it doesnt have to be this way clearly by looking at spiderman far from home, captain underpants, and top gun maverick amongst others in recent years that have succeeded. They didnt include all that stuff and they did well.

It was only now I realized Hawking getting pushed off the roof is a reference to the end of The Naked Gun where Nielsen did the same to OJ. This movie is dumb as hell, but it still garners a laugh. Between the concept of superheroes and the great cast, it's the best of all the parodies that spawned from the Scary Movie formula.
