cyborg is one of those characters you could really look up to no matter what your skin color was. he appeals to African American children because he's their color and given an important roll as being the chief engineer of the titans and basically building every cool gadget the titans get. He also appealed to people in general given that he fights to keep his humanity even though he's mostly synthetic. Cyborg and Static Shock were some of the most influential characters for me growing up because for the most part the super hero's were white.

I mean what's next am I discriminating against Americans because I like the character Reznov from Call of duty more than any of the American characters?? I can be inspired by someone based off their skin color I can not however say that because a hero is black or white that makes them better than anyone else which is not what I was saying at all, I like superman and batman and all the other white superheros just as much as the black ones- however Cyborg and Static shock were inspirational to me as a kid growing up. Plus you're comparing a book to a TV/Comic book series, with books you have to literally visualize everything which means you can make character whatever you want them to be unless the author establishes that they are a certain way (which I bet Spooner was described in detail in the book)

***** Well, considering that a animated cartoon series is usually made for kids and a lot of stuff in the '80s Teen Titans comics is not suitable for kids, what did you expect?. I mean, you wanted the creator of Teen Titans (the 2003-2006 animated series) to put in that Slade (aka Deathstroke), a grown man has sexual relations with a teen girl (Terra). Are you serious?. I watched Teen Titans and it was amazing, as more seasons went along it got more sophisticated, mature but still had great humor and gained a larger audience. More older viewers started watching it (teens and adults). I know a guy, who is 46 that watched Teen Titans when it was on (he was 35-37 when Teen Titans was running).

As much as I like the original Teen Titans cartoon series, I think I prefer the comic origins of Cyborg more than the animated series. And the comic version of the hero as well. It shows more complex of the character seeing his background and what he'd been through. Hopefully we'll see a movie of him sometime in the future. We do need more black superheroes.

There are plenty of black heroes, such as: Storm, Static, Sunspot, Black Lightning, Thunder and Lightning, Rocket, Icon, Black Panther, Luke Cage, Falcon, Bloodwynd, Ultimate Spider-Man, Bumblebee, Mal Duncan(chose your pick with his superhero personas), Tyroc, Star Boy, Mr. Terrific, Firestorm(the Jason Rush version), Bronze Tiger, Vixen, etc. I probably believe that you meant that we need to see these characters on television, I just wanted to make sure there wasn't this impression that there is a limited amount of black heroes. Personally I want to see a Black Panther movie, that guy's awesome!

Cyborg's slightly altered origins in The Flashpoint Paradox was the best I've seen. He was literally rebuilt with Apokolyptian technology that he somehow absorbed onto his body. He was the Justice League's trump card in that movie. It was insane. He's awesome.

In the animated movie Justice League at war. Cyborg origins in there was that he was a star Football QuaterBack and he was upset his dad never went to games. He visits the lab where the scientists were experimenting DarkSide portals and Victor took it where it exploded on him and DarkSide radioactive got into him. His dad takes him to machine to cure him where DarkSide radioactive fuses with the machine turning him into cyborg.

*Azrael. His name is Jean-Paul Valley, and he was the last of a group of assassins. I can't quite remember the name of the group, but I remember something about like Saint Dumas. His father gets killed by members of the group, and he seeks revenge, gets captured by Batman, and then works with Alfred to track down the killers. He then wears Batman's suit and kills them. Also, if you read the segment of the Bane era of Batman comics, Batman's back gets broken by Bane, and Jean-Paul takes over the duty of Batman for a while. It's actually very interesting. Read the Knightfall series of Batman comics and it'll explain that part.

If they don't include Cyborg in the Justice League movie then I would to see him in a Teen Titans movie trilogy. It could take place in the same universe as the JL movie universe but maybe 15-20 years after the final JL movie where Bruce Wayne is an old man and is retired as Batman but recruits and assembles an elite team of young superheroes to defend humanity which consists of Robin/Nightwing, Green Arrow, Raven, Sapphire, Beast Boy, and Cyborg!

In that case, I would like to see an Outsiders movie trilogy where Bruce Wayne is in his late 50's to early 60's where he is retired as Batman and Gotham City is infested with crime since Batman's disappearance and Wayne decides to form an elite team of young superheroes with Robin or Nightwing as the team's field leader and the main protagonist of the movie trilogy without him hogging all the spotlight! stelex13 Well, I think Batman would be pick Robin/Nightwing to be in the team as well as to make him the team leader because of the fact that Robin's parents were murdered just like his (Wayne/Batman) and understands where he's coming from and tries to help him control the rage and vengeance in his heart. I have a good idea for a scene in the beginning where Wayne/Batman stops him from killing a mob boss after Robin kicks the s*** out of a bunch of mafia gangsters and a small-time street gang in a abandoned warehouse during a drug-deal when he (Robin) was a lone vigilante. Other members of the team could be Green Arrow, Sapphire, Raven, Beast Boy, Cyborg, Geo-Force, and Black Lightning. Maybe the villains for the first film could be Kobra/Blackadders and Dr. Hugo Strange, Brainwave and Checkmate or Suicide Squad in the second film, and Felix Faust, Gorilla Grodd, and Chang Zu for the third and final film!
