So true my friend. But I always prefer Stewart over McAvoy. Sure McAvoy was a great fit for portraying a younger inexperienced Professor X. But Stewart is just perfect because he truly acts like a compassionate mentor and true professor. He portrays Charles as someone who is always willing to stick his neck out for anyone. Even going as far as attempting to redeem those who are broken. Like Erik Lehnsherr (aka Magneto) for example. Heck in Multiverse of Madness, he even risked his own life in an attempt to break the Scarlet Witch’s control over Wanda Maximoff. Plus, Stewart’s portrayal of Charles Xavier (aka Professor X) looks like he was pulled straight from the comics. The guy even looks like Charles. And I was so happy to finally see him in the iconic motorized hover chair that was first introduced in the original X-Men TAS.

I love Patrick Stewart's and James McAvoy's portrayal of Professor X in the films, but it has always been an irritant to me that his origins are clearly from New York (ex.: the house he grew up in, and inherited, in the movies is located there), and yet he has a British accent.

i think the same...He is so powerful and important to the x-men storyline and yet he's often overlooked. I thinks that's probably why I love "x-men first class" so much. He and Magneto are the most interesting marvel characters for me and have an amazing friend - nemesis dynamic. I really love that they get more recognition in the newer movies :) but i really hope they don't put him out of his wheelchair for the most part of the new movie again...They shouldn't feel the need to do that just because they think it's more convenient. ..They should show that he can take part in action, even with his handicap :)

The only things immune to this are sentinels, Ultron, Magneto with a helmet, and other telepaths can resist the mind freezing.
