Their ability to anticipate the bulls' likely next move, and the athleticism required to react, seems preternatural. But this is done with divided attention. Like, one eye on the bull and one on the rider, and still performing physical and mental feats. These guys are amazing.

Ya but Jamie Thomas IS HARD, these guys ain't backside-flipping any 20 stairs and some of the slams the amplitude street skaters are taking are as bad or worse than this. Even shecklar goes huge and does shit that these guys would absolutely shy away from. It's all relative but these guys are badass. I'm from socal just moved to Nashville so I'm learning to respect these guys as well

I don't hoot and holler at any sport. I'll watch football in complete silence. Put on a boxing match and I'll sit steady in my place and enjoy it quietly. But, boy, you put a rodeo on and I can't sit still or stay quiet, to save my life. Haha. 🤠 Hey! These bull fighters are no damn joke. I think at Dickies arena that night they said as soon as he “woke up” he said “what happened”? Having a severe head injury myself I remember saying that same thing when I finally “woke up” in Surgical Intensive Care. Of course a bull didn’t do that to me. A drunk driver’s car did it. These riders are so lucky to have the bull fighters out there for protection. That was brutal in real time! I’m surprised they let some of these possible head/spinal injury people walk like ‘nobody’s home’ to the back. As an RN I think the backboard should be used more often…just bc they CAN sort of walk unsteady doesn’t mean their spine should be moving. But hats off to everyone working to help the guys out there and in the back.

Grew up riding bulls with cooper fighting. One of the rodeos I got hung up and he was fighting in pants and shoes. The pictures were great lol
