Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 WARHAMMER has come a long way didn't care much for the early versions but the Space Marines has gave it a jump start your character is over 200yrs old and to say he has been in many battles would be an understatement ...... the hordes of enemies are relentless as you run & gun slash & kill your way to victory

This process, known as biotransference, granted them a form of immortality. Here are a few key points regarding their immortality: 1. **Durability**: Necron bodies are incredibly resilient. Even if they are damaged, they can often repair themselves, and their consciousness can transfer to a new body if the old one is destroyed. 2. **Reanimation Protocols**: Necrons have advanced self-repair systems that allow them to "reanimate" after being damaged in battle, making them extremely difficult to kill permanently. 3. **Time**: Necrons do not age in the conventional sense. Their mechanical bodies do not degrade over time, allowing them to exist for millions of years without succumbing to the effects of aging. However, while they are effectively immortal in terms of longevity and durability, they are not invincible. They are reanimated back at their base essentially. Also higher nobels have autonomy and sentience, but most of the rank and file soldiers are mindless automatons

It provides essential context for the motivations behind the Heresy. **"Mechanicum" by Graham McNeill** "Mechanicum" (Book 9) offers a fascinating look at the events on Mars during the Heresy and is a good supplementary read to get a broader understanding of the conflict. A Thousand Sons Followed by Prospero Burns Starting with these books will give you a solid foundation in the Horus Heresy and introduce you to the key events and characters that shape the entire series.
