This action-packed thriller, set in Belgrade, Chicago, and Kosovo, delves into the intricate dynamics of family ties and forbidden love amidst a backdrop of international intrigue. The story revolves around the estranged brothers, Alex and Peter, whose reunion is prompted by their father's critical condition. Believing their father needs a bone marrow transplant, Alex embarks on a journey from Serbia to Chicago to locate Peter, who had fled Serbia with their mother years ago, leaving behind a fractured family to endure the horrors of war.
In Chicago, with the assistance of an American CIA operative, Alex finally reunites with Peter. However, Alex remains unaware of the dangerous game their father has been drawn into by a terrorist named Dreq. Dreq seeks to exploit their father's knowledge of a devastating chemical weapon developed during the Cold War, compelling Peter to become entangled in a lethal plot.
As the brothers return to Serbia, they unravel the truth behind their father's involvement and confront the perilous consequences of his actions. Along the way, Alex discovers that his own girlfriend, a young Muslim woman, has become ensnared in Dreq's machinations.
