Why the heck did I miss this?! Lived in Mentor in 89 & loved Supe since I came to NE OH in 82 for Akron U...might have been on while I was working with my wedding band somewhere around town...or wiping my baby son's rear :-D (he's 30 now) Thanks for posting this back when! Supe's On!

Marty and SUPERHOST get credit as the only successful cross-breeding of Superman with Mad's Alfred E. Nuemann (is that what was intended?). I grew up in Cleveland in the 1970's, and remember seeing Marty in a serious interview role on a different program and only realizing halfway through that this guy was the same guy that played superhost. Both the voice and laugh were completely different and he was wearing a suit!

I loved SuperHost. I grew up in Lorain and left in 86 when I went into the Air Force. I was sad to hear, just hours ago, that Supes had been cancelled three years later. I would sit in front of the television for hours on Saturday to watch him and for hours on Friday nights to watch Big Chuck & Hullahan/Little John. Ahhh, the memories...

I also remember watching Barnaby and that cheesy version of Romper Room. It's a shame that WUAB has become a shell of it's former self, much like most other tv stations in the last 10 years.
