Does it really matter if you do normal intercept or light intercept? And will you finish the fight much faster?

medium intercept gives you one of his 4 unique buffs and light intercepts give you 2 buffs additionally to a buff you already have. Once you have all of his buffs you want to build up the amount of the buffs to get a beefy sp2 armor break and mediums just keep refreshing your buffs
