You can't use the white on the tail to identify saugeye up here on LOTW. The sauger all have a sliver of white on the tail here. The DNR legal description is bars over spots with the last section nearest the tail on the dorsal fin being solid black. Important to know as saugeye count as walleye.

They should specify in the regs that Saugeye count as walleye. Since in my eyes a saugeye is not a walleye

@50finders21 it is specified in the rule book. Or at least was. I agree it shouldn't count as either but a bonus fish.
