Thanks for this. I live 30 miles weswards, loathe Southampton and didn`t fancy the fuel and entry fee. Maybe next year!

Well worth the visit. Seems that you live in the same area as I do. The college is actually in Eastleigh, not far from the M3/M27 junction, so you can avoid Southampton.

The entry was a bit steep this year! But a great exhibition though. I travel from Weymouth to see it each year.

I have to chuckle, all that effort in building an EM gauge layout to be more prototypical than 00 gauge... And then operate smashing the locos into the rolling stock or into the buffers! Maybe not so prototypical. Go figure that one out.

I assume you meant the Dinas Mawddwy layout. I have seen many of Andy's layouts over the years (he has about 10) and he is always keen to talk about the history of the actual location and often forgets about the operation of the layout!
