I can’t hear the name Bromley without mentally adding “It’s further out than people think.” But that’s cos Pride is one of my all time favourite films.

I did enjoy that - many thanks! Yes, please, more bus videos - and videos about connections between trains, trams, and buses. And about the street and station furniture etc. etc. - it's all great. Might you consider videos about transport aspects of living in outer London e.g. 'the weekly shop' which most people who have cars do regularly; how could that be made easier/possible at all, by bus/train/tram? should buses have more buggy space for shopping trolleys, if the route passes a big supermarket? should bus stops be right outside the store front door instead of beyond the car-park? I'm impressed that you have addressed the strategic aspects of SL - that there is still a lot of 'connectivity' lacking in outer London. Talking with my friends who live there, most of them say thet travel a lot between suburban centres - which is why most of them have cars! So you are absolutely right that extra SL - or another brand of express bus - is needed to include Orpington, New Addington and elsewhere. And I feel that TfL should treat SL as strategic - include it on the tube map, show interchanges with SL on the tube carriage line-diagrams, include tube-style way-finding signs at SL stops etc.. Personally, I think a better solution to the crowding would just be to make it more frequent; that's one advantage of express buses over trains - it's very simple to 'edit' the service. My feeling (from talking with other travellers) is that 8-per-hour would be a good minimum to set; most people don't mind waiting for 7-8 minutes, and the average would be half of that. It might be interesting to find out (I expect TfL are collecting data) whether the single deckers spend less time loading/off-loading at stops. If so, perhaps some of the other SL routes could do with more frequent single deckers. Would the single deckers be better with longitudinal seats, like the Overground? How about artics, or continental-style 3-door single-deckers? Look forward to your next video

This video made a nice change, you must count yourself lucky to have such a frequent connecting service. I live way out in the countryside, we have a school service and a mini bus once a week for shoppers which only goes to a bigger village, not even to a big city!

Really enjoyed this bus video and would like to see other SL routes.

I remember the old 725 Green Line bus in the 1960s which did more or less the same route. It went all the way from Windsor to Gravesend. They were slightly posher, more expensive and only stopped at certain stops. They were a nice dark green colour. Philip Heselton

Superloop express buses getting you from A to B or in the case of the SL5 B to C

I grew up and still live in the Croydon-Bromley area, yet the SL5 only serves the one of the three places I often travel between, Hayes, Shirley and Addiscombe. I understand it would be unrealistic to serve Hayes, looking at the current route but it would cost next to nothing to add a stop at Birch Tree Way or Sandilands.

I was on the SL5 today from Bromley to Croydon. It is a good bus route. Some areas do have low tress, so no double-decker buses I'm afraid.

Interesting, I've been on the I think SL8 from Ealing to Hayes along the Uxbridge Road.

i rode the SL5 from Croydon to Bromley in the week & i was very impressed with how long it took to get from croydon to Bromley as it took 30 minutes despite a small divertion on the Croydon End but aprt from that its a brilliant route and my journey was busy which shows its well used i must admit i would have liked it to be double deckers but its due to the low trees which is why its a single decker route brilliant vlog

3:32 The SL5 doesn't go through Beckenham, not the town centre at least, since Eden Park and Beckenham are already linked with routes like the 194. Also the Orpington district of Bromley is mostly villages and countryside, pretty much deep Kent, so there is not necessarily a high demand for a Superloop type of bus around there. Not to mention how long it would take to connect all those areas since it's bigger than some boroughs. So you'd need a system of routes pretty much. Orpington just needs a high frequency for its existing routes.

I really don’t see the point. Just put more buses on the existing routes and take measures to reduce traffic which the Superloop won’t help with.
