Only Black Uhuru makes music like this - sweet sound with a deep, mystically poetic kind of message, filled with rasta roots

this is from the black uhuru's Now album. one of their best albums ever. the original line up...don carlos, duckie simpson and garth dennis who after leaving black uhuru went on to sing with the wailing souls. respect. roots, rock reggae live on forever!

I’ve got to run my children I have little time to stay Only then my children will you enjoy this day You have life don’t waste it You have light, you can see Precious to those who can taste it, you have light, follow me. The colors, melt in clear brightness The radiance, it will bring on the heat, oh oh You can, if you wish, then darkness Like the shadow, I cast at your feet There may be clouds, to shelter beneath Oasis of wool, up in the sky, high Cool wind, to fan off the heat Life liver, not oppressor am I So in songs, in bloom, so soon Still rising, life providing, no trace of gloom I got to run my children …. If you can see, not make dream your master To reason, not to make folly your aim From the ghetto, me faced with trials and laughter Treating those two, imposters just the same And the truth, you have just spoken Feasted by knaves, making traps for fools Welcome, where promises are broken Coke heads and freaks And their ????????? ???? I got to run my children …
