Beautiful job. It looks absolutely amazing. May I offer one suggestion? Maybe do the same series of washes on his hands that you did on his face so the skin tones all match. It would’ve been cool to have a little blue in the veins underneath the skin tones.

i was able to watch a few scenes being filmed of part 3, it was filmed in Calgary when i lived there , and my father brought me to cheap Charlies scrap yard to watch a few hours of filming , and also down town when evil superman was drinking, the car crusher is still there but is now a scrap metal place not a junk yard

this was always my favorite version of superman because he was strong looking without looking carved and vacuum molded. i always found the concept of a perfectly cut superman odd. what does he do in his free time, bench press the moon? XD but all joking aside you did a great job with this one

Thanks! I use Chitubox free version. I know other use different slicers but this one is the easiest for me. For sealer I use Krylon Color Maxx flat. Works great 👍

What are you doing for the shading? Are you just using a darker version of the colour that was already sprayed, using more of the same to just build up saturation? I'm just learning and that's what I'm trying to figure out.

That's a good question. I've seen some really great FDM prints if you have your printer dialed in right, but for fine details I personally don't think an FDM can capture it like a resin printer.

When you shade and highlight, do you use a straight black for shading and white for highlighting, or do you use a darker/lighter variant of the color you were shading on? Like dark blue, blue, light blue etc

Beautiful work! Can you define dry brushing for me? Obviously, you are not placing acrylic on that is not watered down. So that cannot be dry brushing, right? When shading... do you just use a darker shade of the original base color?

With dry brushing your basically put on paint and wiping most off it off of the brush and lightly going over the desired part like highlights. With shading you're just emulating shadows or where light isn't present, so yes, you can go with a darker shade of the base color.

I dont have a pattern but all I did was cut a circle for the cape and cut a hole in the center then draped it around him and trimmed the shoulders off a bit.

I mean, driving in your car can be harmful. Just use common sense and proper PPE, gloves, mask, glasses and proper ventilation and you should be fine.

What's your process for making a wash? I see so many suggestions online it's confusing which to be following. So I'm none the worse still.

I mainly use washes already made from Vallejo. Even then I might water them down a bit. For my own made wash, I use about an 80 to 20 ratio. 80 percent water, then kinda work from there. I usually wash after I seal an area, that way if I don't like it, it comes right off without messing up the paint. That's just how I do it.
