This brings to mind that moment in the first Superman film when Clark says goodbye to his mother Martha. Smallville seems like such a nice, peaceful community with mostly good people. Kal-El was very blessed to be found by Martha and Jonathan Kent, good people who loved him and raised him well, to say nothing of understanding that while he had those amazing powers, the right time to use them had yet to come...

Hundreds of memories and sensations come to me that cause a shudder in my soul, knowing that they will never return, but I know that although time cannot be stopped, we always have the power to go to our memories, and by closing our eyes, we can revive those beautiful moments that will only disappear when our memory is erased, at the precise moment in which we reach the sunset of our existence, and leave this earthly plane to move on to the next, there where we can be happy forever...
