This is my ideal opening credits for Superman III. It was shame the classic and epic intro was abandoned. This took a lot of time so I hope you enjoy.

Awesome opening credits.This is of course the Superman 3 end credit theme & it does not go the same way of those of Superman 1,2 & 4 particularly the moment the "S" logo & the title appear.

Tbh neither am I. However, I wanted to present an alternative opening to the movie we got. And since Ken Thorne did the music for it I tried to respect that much.

Yeah for the TV edit they took the credits that played over the comedy into and out them on a space background. Now while the effort is nice I found it still lacked the power of the orignal intro.

I know there was a TV edit version where they put the text crawl titles from the movie in space. I mean it was a little better but it still lacked the epic scale of the original.

I did this in Filmora Pro. I keyframed the flying text and added a zoom blur where I also keyframed the zoom blur.

You did a good job overall. The one bad thing was that you should have used the exact opening music for the first movie. This sounds too much like a mishmash of PIECES of John Williams original score, or it sounds like crummy Ken Thorne musical cues. Sorry, I didn't like him or Richard Lester for Superman; they weren't good on that project. I'm sure they were great doing other things. They were both good on the Beatles "Help!" movie. Another minor point that I thought could have been changed were the "directed by" and "and" or "featuring" words. They shouldn't have been the same size as the names of the people they were introducing. Those words should have been a little smaller.

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah I wanted to present an alternate opening to the movie we got versus the movie we wish it would have been which is why I used the Ken Thorne score. Because even when they attempted a space text crawl for the TV edit this is the track they played. And I do agree on the text sizes. This is an older video from years ago and if I released it today I'd be fixing some of the errors.

We all did. At least the TV edit tried to do something like it but it still fell short. But then again we know Richard Lester wanted to make a comedy and he succeeded. Except he forgot the humor.

One issue. Sure there are many more factors, like the movie itself, but at the time I made this video I thought it was more fun than to do than sitting in front of the camera just telling everyone how I would have done it. There's already a pretty rad channel that turned the orignal script into a 15ish minute audio drama.

Superman 3 was sort of a bad movie, it was more of a Richard Pryor film, it had some dark moments and eventually improved, this would have been an improvement.

@@JoesGeekShow Yeah and poaching Bob Todd from the Benny Hill Show for that daft intro got him fired by Benny and the producer had to beg to let him get another chance, the movie was booze soaked and it was widely known Bob had a drink problem so one wonders if it was by design as the right on mob Lester was part of all hated Bennys show so Bob was unwittingly like Brad in intent and purpose. Later in the 1980s when the heat against old school comedians really started getting ugly Richard Lester indirectly caused the death of great TV/film actor Roy Kinnear making that Musketeers sequel by demanding the small portly Roy gallop fast on a horse for a scene when it was clearly unsafe for him to do so with Lester being warned by other actors still made Roy do it then of course he toppled off, broke his pelvis then died from his injuries in a Spanish hospital. Lester never made any more movies after that.

The producers screwed up big time in firing Donner thinking they were saving money by going cheap when in actual fact the follow up films lost money in tickets. An audience is not fooled by cheap effects . Even Reeve quoted he would of done a 5th one had the filming finance been right , otherwise we might as well all stop at home". So the 1st film will always be best. @@JoesGeekShow
