They already revealed this is a different earth from earth Prime. Originally it was going to be on the same earth, which is why they didn’t show it separately at the end of Crisis. They said this earth doesn’t have Supergirl or any other heroes. The earth prime Tyler Hoechlin Superman is still out there, but this one has a different past. So he may have never faced Metallo

The diner scene feels like an analyzation of why a similar moment in Man of Steel didn’t work. In Man of Steel, Clark just didn’t have control over himself. In this version, Clark doesn’t overstep his bounds in any way, he’s very much in control. This is the Clark Kent I know.

@@lorddarkstorm1354 I get where you're coming from, but there are a few problems with that argument. If Clark was in high schooler or college years, I'd buy it. But this Clark in MoS is supposed to be in his early 30s, when he should have a handle on his anger. But the biggest issue is that it's a scene that doesn't add to the overall arc or story of Clark. Throughout the rest of the film, we do see him portray a level of restraint, even as a kid. Here, he's straight up going to beat this guy and one punch could very well take his head off. It was the woman who stopped him. After this scene, we don't get anything else that portrays a temper that is hard to contain.

@@dynaguy3 It's ridiculous that the fortress doesn't have Kryptonion tech to help with cancer. Rolled my f'ing eyes when Clark said there is nothing his mother can do. At the same time I understand it's that way because of how Lois's cancer is major plot line. Stupid one though.
