My now 81 year old Dad and I watched all 10 seasons of Smallville together and now the 4 seasons of Superman and Lois. I told him, “that’s not the ending I was hoping for, but it’s the ending Superman deserves.” Of course, I wanted Clark to find his heart and have his powers restored and return to being a fully powered Superman, but he deserved the ending he received: a life filled with family, friends, love and then finally his rest. Great show. Sad to see it end.

One thing that stood out to me the most, and i know many ppl will say i'm spewing BS, but that this series show how good a beautiful functional family is. This series as a whole is great because IS REAL. Is a beautiful believable family drama in wich the father just happens to be superman. And as a person who studied the effects entertainment media have on people i say undoubtedly that the world needs more series and movies like this. That shows the beauty of family, of the marital committed love, the brotherly love, the parental and son/daughter love altogether in a functional family where there's mutual respect and love among all. The feeling this series gives, specially the ending, is "is good to have a family, and i want to have it, i wanna get married and have children" and makes us desire the beauty of having someone beside us forlife who helped us raise our children (like clark and Lois with heir sons), instead of the "sex drugs and rokn roll" that today's "feel good, do it" and anti-family hedonist society prioritizes, WE NEED MORE SERIES LIKE THIS, THAT GIVES THIS FEELING! And yes, this last statement was controversial but i don't give a crap... They shape ppl more ways than most realise. If we had more series that portrays the beauty of a family in loving relationships and how they shape us for the better, ppl would value it, when is almost DEvalued in today's "feel good do it" age (where virtues like discipline and sacrifice and giving up on your desires for others are almost seen as self loathing). Lastly, and nothing's gonna change my mind about this. NOTHING IS EVER GONNA TOP THIS PORTRAYAL OF SUPERMAN! THIS IS NOT GOLD, IS FLAT OUT DIAMOND!

@@andrew8531 Me too. Trust me, i don't know how old u are, but in case you're under 20, trust me. If there were more series, movies and games that portrayed the beauty of a committed relationship for life, with children whom love and respect their parents and each other like "Superman and lois" does, instead of broken families or non broken but disfunctional ones as being the majority on media... people would value their families, and starting a family, and fighting for their marriages much more than they do. Cuz people wouldn't see family as a "burden to be avoided cuz it keeps "ME" from being happy, but something beautiful worth fighting for ("burden", wich is not bad on itself, that's how you grow. but in today's world, burden = bad, and in a sense, family IS a burden, and only bad if you are too self focused, cuz family will force you to be selfLESS)".. So if there were more media showing families like these... we'd have a FAR different better world.

He formed a team consisting of his sons, Jonathan and Jordan, as well as John Henry and Natalie Irons. He and Lois teamed up with Bruno Mannheim to help make the world better. Superman and Lois, will go down as one of the greatest portrayals of these characters ever. This is what a lot of people have been longing for. It really is the end of an era, as we move towards the DCU, it’s hard to forget when this all started with Smallville, then Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl ect, it really was a Golden Age of Superhero Shows. I think it’s fitting this era started with Superman’s Origins and ending with Superman’s End.

Whew!! Me and my son just watched the finale. I'm 43 and he's 17. I watched The adventures of Lois and Clark Smallville and everything in between.... This is Superman. Best portrayal hands down. I really am a fan of Cavil but this portrayal of Superman and this series ending was one of the best ways to end a show. I'm not a cryer but my goodness this was touching. I'm surprised in today's era that shows could still be this touching and have such a fulfilling ending

I CAN'T LIE, I cried at this ending. Not my eyes watered, but CRIED. When Clark said Lois's cancer came back, it reminded me of my mom who passed 2 years ago from cancer. Watching everyone grow up and have their own families hit you right in the heart. This was a great send off for Tyler and Bitse who made me feel like a kid again watching Christopher Reeve and Margot Kidder.

Tyler Hoechlin.. take an absolute bow! What a performance.. what a character.. what a series!! Absolutely outstanding performance as Clark Kent/Superman. Easy EASY the best there’s been. What a team that has brought this all together! Thank you for the privilege of getting to experience this show and feel the emotions behind every scene and every character! And genuinely inspiring me to better myself in every way everyday! That’s what Superman is all about! 10/10 Thank you!

Tyler Hoechlin is, in my opinion, the best live action Superman to date. He portrayed the character with so much depth, warmth, and humanity. I wish this show continued for many more seasons, but I'm happy we had it at all.

1:41 A Bruce Wayne cameo here would have been great, with Clark saying an old friend helped us with the funds, where they both meet and shake hands
@davidmount24837 күн бұрын
Yeah that would have been great but the show established that Superman is the only superhero in this universe there's no Batman no justice league Superman and his kids are the only superheros on this earth in the multiverse I don't even think Supergirl exists either cause this is not connected to that show even tho Tyler plays Superman in that show as well
@asimhussain87167 күн бұрын
I didn't even think of that, but yeah, the ONE thing this version of Supes is missing is a best friend. I get that's also Lois, but Bruce would have been PERFECT to allude to. Only other nitpick with this ending, wish they would have alluded to the "American way" part of the truth and justice thing. I get it, it's fallen out of favor, but it speaks to what America SHOULD be, the things that Clark and Lois embody, despite America not being perfect.

The cw absolutely hates batman. In pretty much every other show, he's only referenced and his character is usually looked upon with contempt. Even in batwoman, the best they could do was a moody Ian Glenn, and a severely crippled Kevin Conroy. They always presented him as this anti-hero, potentially evil person. I can't say I'll ever understand why, but there you go.

Candace is the one who stuck around, Sarah is too much like her mother. She can't be with Jordan in that way. Especially now knowing that he has a destiny. Sarah is likely doing her own thing and just remained a good friend to Jordan.

I really like this series, it is not about superhero vs supervillain or good vs evil, it is about family, nurturing your kids and spend time with your family. Proof that Superman is just another identity, the real hero in this story is Clark and how he become a good husband and father to his family.
