Bitsie Tulloch is my favorite Lois. She is so incredibly human while still being the hero we know and love

Tbh before this show I thought Superman was boring and couldn’t really enjoy as much as with other heroes. But after watching this show it really change my mind and made me love Superman so much like I was amazed by how awesome Superman is hehehe

It's so strange to me to see people hating on Kyle so much. I thought he was a really great, nuanced depiction of conservatives in small towns. He's not a caricature, you see his motivations, you see his reasoning for what he does. Smallville is dying and Edge *can* bring jobs there. As watchers, we just primed disagree with him because Lois said so and since she's the protagonist (and we know we're watching a show where the CEO is the bad guy), that means she's right. The Planet was still run by a millionaire before Edge bought it and clearly they weren't unionized, but I don't see anyone crucifying Lois and Clark for working there - because we weren't directed to by the writers like we're directed to hate Edge. (this is not me defending Edge, he's terrible, but like, so was The Planet before he bought it) Also, rewatch that last scene with Kyle - he's *throwing out* the liquor. The writers are just trusting the audience to see the subtle things without putting a spotlight on it.

I totally agree. Kyle frustrates me but in a good way. He's a flawed human being, and I want him to do better because the show has made me care about him. It took a while, but by this episode, I knew I cared about him. I feel like it made me understand him, even if I still think he's a bit of an ass. Honestly, he reminds me of my dad, a small town conservative who messes up but you can tell he's trying.

Hector, you don't have to worry about Kyle. In the next few episodes you'll get some really good stuff of Kyle and his family. It's fantastic

One of the things that I loved about this episode aside from the amazing acting was the fact that Jonathan acknowledged that he was the only person in the family without anything to defend himself since even Lois is well Lois, she’s a forced to be reckon with.

This has been my favorite Lois since Smallville. But better cause now she has the experience and being a parent. Hell of a voice Sara has. Kryptonians conscious inside other hosts? Wow!

FINALLY someone who doesn't want Jonathan to have powers either! He doesn't need them. He is better without them. He will find a way to still become a hero.

I was never a big fan of Superman. I liked Cavill but ... it was still just ok. And Lois to me was not interesting. Not being a Superman fan is a reason I almost skipped this show. But this show changed everything for me. Love it. And Lois is super in her own way.

Bitsie Tulloch is amazing in this episode. Edit: You have to stop giving credence to Nadria Tucker. She's been full of crap since the beginning. Nothing she said has come to pass. And as I've commented in previously, I've actually experienced racism and people faking it piss me off. My parents have non ethnic names. When I was a kid they had a house lined up. They talked to owners on the phone. Everything was good until they went to talk to them. Suddenly the house wasn't available yet it continued to be listed for sale for another three weeks.

Yeah even the showrunner & co-producer Todd Helbing isn't saying bad things about her. Helbing & Berlanti say they wanted something more Family oriented, hopefull, optimistic & family drama Superman series , while Tucker wanted something that tackled racism which Supergirl is already doing okay this season. Many writer's actually credit Berlanti & Helbing for the ideas of the series & they in turn acknowledge their contribution like the Steel twist. Also I highly doubt that Tucker wrote for rest of the season because Helbing said after the Steel twist pretty much every plan they had changed, that's the reason the season has 15 episodes instead of 13. If it ended on it's original finale it would have been dour, depressing & nihilistic rather than something hopefull & optimistic.

I don’t want just Jonathan to get powers either. I just fuckin wish the kids names were swapped so much 😂 even Jon’s actor’s name is Jordan. Jordan’s actor even looks like Jonathan in the comics to me so it always throws me off lol

I really hated Lois invoking Natalie's name to John...I don't know it weirded me out. The situations involving both Natalie's are not the same but it kinda felt like she was trying to compare her grief with his.
